Not hitting on CAM, but name one Running QB that has won a Super Bowl? The closest you will get is Steve Young and Joe Montana.

The last game CAM reminded my of Jake. Took to much on himself and tried to force throws to Steve Smith. This also makes me question if SS was beating him up about getting the ball to SS. Just a theory mind you.

I said it from the weeks leading up to the draft in 2011 that CAM's biggest down fall was his ability to read defenses. I see this still as his biggest down fall. If he can improve with his pre-snap reads, he will improve greatly. If not be ready for more games like last Sunday.

Let CAM be CAM. let him be more mobile. Let him stretch the play with his legs. A big down fall for a lot of QB's in this league is forcing them to be what they are not. Weinke was never going to work in a West Coast offense coming from a deep vertical passing attack in college. I said it when we drafted him that he would fail in this system. You have to put your players in a system that works to their strengths. This is one reason why the Patriots have done so well for so long. Their coaching staff brings in the players that fits their system. They don't draft a player or sign an FA and try to force them into a system that does not complement that players abilities.

I Had a feeling we would struggle this year with a new OC. Even if he is running a similar offense, there is nothing in the NFL that is 100% similar when it comes to OC or DC and how they run their schemes.

actually the patriots change their system to benefit their players strenghths. We have been up and down in that regard with Cam.

Regardless if they change it or they make sure they bring in the players for their system. The point is still there.

Must have missed some of those threads regarding what I said about CAM. Most of the time all I read is people beating him up without knowing anything about football or what it takes to play the game. I love sofa coaches/players.

I hope that's what he's doing because so far I haven't seen much to show me a pattern of his plan...

Yeah, it's almost like he and JR(?} decicded to have a wait and see attitude towards the season, now it has been written off and 2014 has already started in the front office.

I'm really starting to question the longevity of Steve Smith's future with this team.

If we decide to retool and scrap the current year, this makes sense.  However, Smitty has already said he won't agree to a trade and will finish with the Panthers.  He may have a no-trade clause in his contract or may threaten to retire.

I am a big Smith fan but I would like to see him get another shot at a ring.  He would have HOF numbers given the right situation.

Actually it is more like changing a spark plug with another one because the car was riding rough.  Edwards was cut and McNutt was added who is a WR from the Miami practice squad.  edwards wasn't playing or contributing anyway.

Neither will McNutt

Contributing more than Armanti wouldn't take much.

So what? We all know this guy ain't going to do poo. Cut Armanti but let the team know there is method to the madness. Instead it's "okay guys straighten up and win games or I'm going to cut somebody else who doesn't play and sign a nobody off of a practice squad". That ought to light a fire under their ass. It's a fuging clown move.

Not really a clown move gettleman wanted his own guy coaching it's becoming painfully obvious so he gives rr a bag a bound team tell them all win or go home hoping more for the go home theory and see what happens if they win great but deep down gettleman doesn't want that so he cuts some of the fat now and will make his mark whatever that is in 2014 it's clear as day now. He's not gonna give rr the best he can he kinda wants him to fail he doesn't believe in Ron and wants him out

And keeping Armanti offered... what benefits exactly?

Or what superstar receiver is out there unsigned that you would have wanted?

We cut a player who hasn't done squat, and then promptly replaced him with another guy who hasn't done squat.

Seems like a typical Panthers kind of move. But hey, Gettlemagic.
