David Gettleman Cleaning House

This is the third year in a row we are sitting at 1-3.  Gettlemen is going to clean house and I am all for it.   He is going to piss some people off, especially here.  I think it is going to start when he refuses to re-sign Greg Hardy to a $12 million per season deal.

Does that mean that Cam will be gone soon too (Hurney's pick)?

It's funny the people that are so quick to run Cam out of town. Reminds me of when Jake was here.

You'd think any Panther fan that actually has been a fan for more than a few years and doesn't have selective memory would be able to look back at our history and luck with QB's in general, and realize how utterly foolish it is to throw one away with such potential so quickly.

Recognizing NFL history isn't wishing Cam out of town...

NFL history just says Cam chances are slim to last with a HC change. Within 3 years of arrival ....new HCs all have there new guy in and old out.

The exceptions to relatively recent history have rings.

this seems to be a productivity thing to me, much like why Hangman was released.  He was the head of scouting at NYG, and is showing his chops at being able to evaluate talent.  He's making the statement that you need to show up in practice and on the field, or he'll cut your ass.  Gotta say I like it.  We've never had someone in here who can really look at what we have, and separate the men from the boys.  He is going to turn us into a team full of badasses.

This isn't some old and washed up late round draft pick quarterback we are talking about here. I'm not buying it.

As much poo as I give JR, I can't see him allowing that. If you seriously think he wants to start over at QB again already, don't bother.

Keep thinking the GM and head coach makes that decision, that type of thing would have to be approved by JR. Smitty will ALWAYS have a spot as long as he wants to be here. JR is the guy who TOLD Hurney to pay Beason, Kalil...etc. JR has more say in that decision than you know.

Am I the only one that is starting to miss Marty Hurney? For the first time in about 5 years, I believe that we have a team that can win but coaching is holding us back. Mark my word, Gettleman is wanting to see if Cam can be a pocket passer, which we all know he is not. Cam will be gone in 2 years b/c Gettleman feels that you must have a pocket passer to win in this league, he has said it before. Richardson should have hired a guy that wants to put a o-line and weapons around him. I really just don't buy what Gettleman is selling right now!!!!

Not hitting on CAM, but name one Running QB that has won a Super Bowl? The closest you will get is Steve Young and Joe Montana.

The last game CAM reminded my of Jake. Took to much on himself and tried to force throws to Steve Smith. This also makes me question if SS was beating him up about getting the ball to SS. Just a theory mind you.

I said it from the weeks leading up to the draft in 2011 that CAM's biggest down fall was his ability to read defenses. I see this still as his biggest down fall. If he can improve with his pre-snap reads, he will improve greatly. If not be ready for more games like last Sunday.

Let CAM be CAM. let him be more mobile. Let him stretch the play with his legs. A big down fall for a lot of QB's in this league is forcing them to be what they are not. Weinke was never going to work in a West Coast offense coming from a deep vertical passing attack in college. I said it when we drafted him that he would fail in this system. You have to put your players in a system that works to their strengths. This is one reason why the Patriots have done so well for so long. Their coaching staff brings in the players that fits their system. They don't draft a player or sign an FA and try to force them into a system that does not complement that players abilities.

I Had a feeling we would struggle this year with a new OC. Even if he is running a similar offense, there is nothing in the NFL that is 100% similar when it comes to OC or DC and how they run their schemes.
