Cam Newton 4th quarter stat tracker

Point is that Cam is a uniquely terrible quarterback in crunch time. He's always been like this. You don't just magically get out of this. He either needs some serious time with a sports psychologist or we need to accept we'll never make the playoffs with him.

Gee, is that all? Thanks for this ignorant thread you've added to the dozens of other ones just like this over the last few days.

Only with stats you can't deny. It's threads like these that make me the most beloved member of Carolina Huddle.

Cam brought us back vs the Jaguars his rookie year. FACT

Cam brought us into position to win the Vikings the last time we played them. FACT

Cam brought us back during the Chicago game, when Steve Smith slipped on his route and the ball got intercepted. FACT

*Sigh*

Lets see

Cam Newton 2012, 4th quarter

Cam threw for 1,147, 5 TD, 4 INT with a rating of 94.8

Better than his 2nd quarter and 3 quarter stats. Higher completion percentage than 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters

4th Quarter within 7

Cam threw for 557 yards, 2TD, 1 int, with a rating of 96.5

2nd highest completion percentage to his 4th quarter stats. Higher than 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters

Im about to stop coming on the huddle. Losing makes this place unbearable. Posters that I thought.... nvm

I am just so intrigued to see DA out there. Something tells me we would win more with DA. I know it was pre season but he looked very sharp.

You mean the guy that people were talking about replacing with Jimmy Clausen and ready to run out of town in the preseason?

We moved the ball well all day. Until the 4th quarter.

We had 1st and 10 inside FG range on 6 of our first 7 possessions. And wound up with 6 points. How does that even happen?

1st 7 drives = 52 plays, 111 yards rushing, and 288 yards passing. And 6 points.

Last 3 drives = 15 plays, 13 yards rushing, and 50 yards passing. 1 fumble, and 1 INT.

How do you have almost 400 yards of Offense in the first 3 quarter. And only come away with 6 points?

Smitty doesn't drop that TD throw, and we could be off to the races. Lafell doesn't drop that 4th down pass, and we could be off to the races.

Instead. The next possession Cam takes us out of FG range with a sack. Next possession inside FG range, Cam throws a pick. Another pick, and sack, costs us two other trips inside FG range.

Players trying too hard? Players not trying hard enough? Coaching too much, or not enough? Play calling? Curses?

WTF is going on?

Ok, now how much of those 4th quarter stats are from games when we still had a shot at the playoffs and not against crappy teams already out of the playoffs
