The Thing People are Forgetting About Cam vs Other Young QBs...

Cam can be better than all of those guys...yet he is not. I don't blame Cam for that. I have no fuging clue what Shula is doing with the play calling your two starting WR are not burners, but they are shifty so instead of giving them YAC chances with short passes you draw up 30 yard routes. This staff is fuging Cam and the Panthers over. Cam cannot sit in the pocket for 6 seconds and read the entire field with his WR's back to him..can't do it..shouldn't be having to do it.

So Cam is responsible for coming up with the scheme to beat the opponent? He starts the game 6/6 and a td if Smitty doesn't drop the ball. The talent around him is getting worse not better like it should. His first year he has a pretty good Oline and and Two good pass catching tes. The next year you lose Shockey, and the offensive line has gotten worse every year.

Who is talking about just the last game?

We have one of the all time worst coaching staffs in the history of the NFL...that's a given.

That doesn't force Cam to lock onto Smitty though....I gave you a freebie that's one thing he can improve upon ALL BY HIS LONESOME.

Yeah well let's get him some targets he can rely on that can actually, you know, get on the damn field and hold onto a pass.

Hixon? Nope? AE? Nope. Lafell? Getting outplayed by Ginn, in a contract year.

That leaves us, Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, and Ted Ginn. Oh, and we have Ben Hartsock (lol).

Why the fug are people allowed to come here and troll like this? This is the only place I visit that I see such constant trolling without the mods doing a damn thing about it. I come here to talk football, to debate football, and because I love my Panthers. Jackass pathetic trolls like this is the reason why I come back less and less everyday.

There is a such thing as quality over quantity Zod

Getting rid of Shockey was retarded IMO...but you just named other options yourself.

Throw it to Ginn...Olsen had a good game...throw it correctly to the backs out of the backfield.

Smoke screens...

We are running very low on time with Smitty though.

Our friend only OnlyPantherFaninMaine gave us this gem earlier in another thread and it kind of explained locking onto Smith to me "Cam Newton is holding the ball and staring down receivers waiting for the play to develop and is having to key in on our best target (Steve Smith) waiting for the exact moment he turns his head before he pulls the trigger. It's too bad he is usually 10 or 15 yards downfield and it's too late by then. Sure, he needs to learn to anticipate receivers getting open and hitting them in stride but the fact of the matter is our receivers aren't getting open or good enough separation and thus Cam continues to wait for Steve Smith to gain a step on his man when in fact, he has lost a few steps at the ripe age of 34."

I don't blame Cam for doing it...he thinks it is his best option and it may be.

The Shockey thing still pisses me off. Such a smart move going out and getting him, then we just said fug it when he left.

We should have done everything in our power to pair Cam with a legit young receiver when he got here too.

Instead, we just figured Steve Smith would never age and be here forever.

What's funny is.....the Bengals and Colts have gone out and got 2 TEs and it works pretty well for them and that was after we did what we did....and of course it worked great for the Pats...

*It works it works*

That'd be hard to do when Hixon and AE are barely on the field for one snap a game.

That reminds me...has Cam ever thrown the ball away?

They could catch it out of bounds on the sidelines...be more action than they deserve.
