Monsta has the best post so far. You're right I'm a very black/white person and call it like I see it. We're 1-3 and Cam looks like crap more times than not.

Before he started becoming a human tackling dummy, there was a point where Cam had laser accuracy and was something like 10/12 for 140+ yards and should have been perfect with a TD had it not been for two drops by usually reliable hands. There are times Cam looks like a friggin surgeon out there.

He also makes mistakes and can fall into a slump. It could be because he sucks like some here think, but I personally think the team as a whole starts playing like poo because they have the "oh fug here we go again" loser mentality that Cam talked about way back when he arrived here. Losing is in this teams DNA, and it doesn't take much for the wind to get knocked out of their sails.

Smitty dropping a sure TD. How often does that happen? Rivera finally showing some balls and going for it with full faith in his guys and LaFell drops a ball my grandmother could catch? Thomas Davis completely wiffing on a sack that would have been a 10 yard loss and instead is thrown for a first down? These are our leaders. Our best players. And they all had a shitty day at the office simultaneously. I guarantee you while they watch film they all leave a bit disappointed with themselves.

I don't know what games you guys are watching, but I see a team of guys that have some decent talent, but VERY little margin for error. And with this team it seems that when it rains, it pours. When we have miscues they snowball into a gotdamn avalanche, and it's not on any one individual. Certainly not Cam Newton.

I think Cam is better than Geno, but the gap isn't as big as it should be.  Cam has better physical traits than almost all Qbs in the league, but his maturity and defense reading ability are marginal at best with no evidence of improvement.  Winners execute regardless of play calls.  Winners put their teams in a position to be within a score late in the game,

My only grief with Cam is, I would like to see him put some loft on his deep balls.    He throws them so flat that a good DB only has to turn around to catch it.  If Cam had put some air under 2 of his throws we score touch downs instead of a couple of incompletes.  

 

He is a good QB.  Got plenty of learning to do but they way some of you talk.  Geno's better, is Cam the next Freeman?  Grow guys that is so bandwagon talk.  If he does well he is a god, if he doesn't we hear "We shoulda kept Jimmy"

Me being a well known WVU homer aside from my Panther fandom, I think I'll sit this one out so as not to be accused of conflict of interest :unsure:

What I'd rather talk about related to this game is the decision by Mike Smith to go for it on 4th and goal at the end of the first half. The Falcons got stuffed. And how much did they end up losing the game by? Two points.

I'd love to hear from the "COACHES WHO HAVE BALLS GO FOR IT ON FOURTH DOWN THAT''S HOW YOU WIN OMG WE WOULD WIN EVERY TIME IF WE DID THAT" crowd on how they explain this. If I recall correctly, Smith's done that in a couple of games this season and it's been a bad decision each time. And here I was led to believe this was a sure path to victory.
