Then the team gets to the Endzone and what happens?! Ur coach.

BTW, weren't u a Blaine Gabbert guy? It's no wonder u're still looking at the glass half empty when it comes to Cam.

glass... half.. empty?

I'm a Mizzou homer, but I have no idea what the fug you're talking about RE: glass half empty.  Get the fug out of here with your accusations about my support of Cam.  Read some of my damn posts about him over the last few weeks.

  • 2 weeks later...

Yeah you can lets this slide to page 2 just updating the stats.  So far comparing rookie season passing wise both Cam and Geno are at the same level at the moment with Geno having more int.  Rushing wise Cam is blowing Geno out of the water which is to be expected.  Biggest thing is Cam is better at securing the ball. Geno for the season has 6 fumbles.  Cam had 2 but they weren't turnovers.

After seven weeks here is Cam and Geno Comparison

Cam

152/252  2103 yds 8td 9int   rushing 57/ 266 yds 7 tds

Geno

130/223 1723 yds 8td 11int  rushing 28/146 yds 2 tds

 6 fumbles

Interesting, but let's get right down to the nitty gritty. Put Cam's current stats in the post also, for comparison purposes.

yeah, I'm still not sure why Squirrel is so obsessed with comparing Geno to Cam..

it's cool though.  I can't hate the enthusiasm he has for WV..  it's just somewhat obvious who has set the bar for future rookie QBs..  that in and of itself is most important in the comparison.

at this point, Cam put his team in position to win 14 out of 16 games in 2011..  Geno is already single-handedly losing games for his team and has a defense to close out.  We'll see what the future holds for the kid, maybe he lives up to the great Cam Newton.. ;)

He leads the lead in comeback drives....how many has Cam had this year? How many has Cam had EVER??? When have you ever felt like in the last 2 minutes of a game Cam is going to lead us to victory? How about ZERO.

Oh wait but I forgot - the Jets have drafted all these wonderful weapons to surround Geno and help him be successful. Oh wait.....can anyone name his wide receivers? How about his tight end? How about those expense high draft running backs he has to help him be more successful??? Does anyone even have any Jets RB in their fantasy league?

But going back to Cam - clearly his biggest problem is the lack of weapons around him. That's the reason...yep...

Great thread.

    • Yeah don't get me started on that. He ran cam into the ground
    • I once again wake up eat my breakfast and then read bs…man your logic only works in your head I can give you multiple examples but I’ll start with one easy clear example of it matters who you’re getting and what you’re planning on doing. Jadevon C and Khalil Mack were drafted before Aaron Donald 2014 biggest mistake of the draft as we look back and redraft or whatever. It doesn’t make sense to take a DE over a DT thats a stud game changing elite defensive player. You can’t draft of generalization typically you want a DE first but nowadays DT are just as impactful so you better choose right LA got a chip bc of Donald meanwhile K Mack is on his second team and J Clowney on his third  team. We don’t draft positions we draft elite prospects Graham seems to be a more productive disruptive player than either DE we may get. A Carter who I want is a Micah P clone they say I can see him impacting the pass game but the run game might leave him as a non factor. And right now our main focal point on defense this offseason will be stopping the run. We’ll be able to create pressure with A Barno back Wonnum healthy and a mix of blitzing which has helped us generate pass rush lately.  Graham if he allows us to stop the run and he generates a pass rush himself which at Michigan he’s know to do both consistently helps our defense then start controlling games would be a better pick then Carter for us moving forward so let’s dive deeper then just pick a DE over a DT because there’s so many factors to weigh out with these top ten picks in the nfl draft.
