Browns asking for 2nd round pick for Gordon

I think Gordon can be as good as anyone. Sure his numbers may not jump at you but with Weeden as your QB how could they. I'd make this trade in a heartbeat.

Say we draft OL in the first round, I don't think you'll find a reciever in the second better than Gordon.

Where is the link for this trade offer?  I haven't heard of the Browns offering him.

He's their best offensive player.., I haven't looked anything up, but I doubt he is on the block.

BTW, Gordon is a legit #1WR.  If they would take an late 2nd (us trading down) or an early 3rd, we would be stupid not to go for it.

The knock on him is he is a pot head & in mid phase of the drug protocol, so I think he would be out a year if busted again...again...this is without looking it up...so take with a grain of salt.

Yeah, that's it.  Thanks!

So is my memory failing me again in that he served an NFL suspension?

No, he has.  He one blown test from a 1 year suspension which is what makes him available and dangerous to trade for.

He's talented, but I don't know that our lovable little dumpster fire is the best place for him to straighten things out.

2nd is risky but he's worth it, give them a 3rd and a 5th and lafell. I'm sick of the off the field issue crap IMHO those guys are worth more then your Jamarcus Russel's and Jeff Otahs........even Everette Brown. This franchise needs to learn in order to win NOW or ever you have to take risk on these guys, not sit back and Draft everyone who has a The Golden Calf of Bristol attitude. People also need to understand these are young guys, they are like every average college student or HS football player they do occasionally party they just need to learn to control it.

Which is why this team will never win. You can't have a team full of choir boys.

I agree to a point.

It's fugged up that a bunch of guys could go to a bar &  be drunk, obnoxious morons & (barring DUI, violence, or sexual assault) it would be more of a joke to the talking heads than anything else, but if they burn a few & watch Twilight Zone they have to get suspended, but right now it's against the rules. Knowing it's against the rules, it's more about decision making.

Imagine someone offered you a deal where your job is to do something you love to do & you would get $500K a year to not do one thing you really like to do to relax & blow off steam. After 4 years, you could get $9m a year for 8 years. You would be checked up on during random intervals to make sure you aren't doing that thing... When do you say "fug it, imma do what I want."?

Thanks csx, I'm behind the times on this.

I went to the Cleveland site & it is being commented on as the Browns fielding a call from the 49rs & that it did not materialize.  The other comment is that their CEO (Banner) said they will always listen to offers, no matter which player it includes...which is what they did with Richardson.

As I mentioned tho, Gordon would be a dream for the Panthers, but I still doubt the seriousness of the 'trade talks'.  If they do trade him...they are looking to get Clowney or Bridgewater.

When they stop paying me.
