Resign Ginn..lock him in

Can't believe he's outplaying Steve Smith

I was disappointed in Steve, but it was only one game. Let's be real here too. We shouldn't still be relying on Smitty as our #1 receiver at this stage in his career anyways. We should have drafted a future #1 receiver long ago. We've neglected it, and we're at this point now.

I've been pleasantly surprised with him, Chris Scott, Colin Cole and Robert Lester.

Very disappointed in Smith, LaFell, Bell, Fua (more the fact that he's on the roster) and a couple others.

Hard for me to be disappointed in Bell and Fua. They suck and give me no false hope to ever believe otherwise.

Steve Smith. His wheels are simply going. He has been losing lots of steps. My only hope is he doesn't start doing Steve Smith stuff when the going gets tough this year

I agree about your surprises. I'd add Gano, Gano has been a beast. No one returns his KOs and he hasn't missed yet.

Hate to thread jack but WTF is up with Hixon.........is the guy going to play or what??? I've seen enough out of Lafell to demote him to 3rd or 4th string put ginn at the 2 spot and Hixon at 3, but apparently either he sucks or doesn't play????

I've come to the conclusion awhile ago that he is not going to contribute anything. He'll ride out his one year deal and leave. The funny thing about this is though, people want to sign a guy to a huge contract that is very similar yet a little younger than him in Hakeem Nicks.

Keep these NY Giants receivers far the hell away please.

LOL!  In what way is Hakeem Nicks "very similar" to Hixon?  Nicks is an elite WR.  Dude had 142 receiving yards yesterday.  Nicks' worst statistical season was last year when an injury limited him severely and kept him out of 3 games.  He still had almost 700 yards.  Hixon's BEST season was under 600 yards.

Hixon is often injured and just not that good when he's on the field.  I'm not sure why so many Panthers fans expected so much out of him.  I have no idea why he made our final roster.

Elite? You're going too far there. The guy can't stay healthy.

He would be making more money than Steve Smith here if we signed him. $50 million range. He isn't worth that. At all.

Name me a Giants WR that left NY and did anything elsewhere. I'll wait for it.

No, he's elite.  I agree that his health is a major concern and I wouldn't even think about giving him a $50M contract.  If he could stay healthy, I'd consider it, but I don't think he'll ever be truly healthy and you have to sign him to a contract with that in mind.

The reason those WRs that have left haven't done anything is because they no longer have Eli throwing them the ball and they don't have Nicks drawing coverage.  That's kind of like asking for a Carolina WR other than Smitty to have gone elsewhere and done anything.  Teams don't really make it a habit of letting elite WRs just walk out the door.  The Giants might because of all their needs and the fact that Nicks is constantly nicked up.

I'd like Nicks for the right price but if we can get a hungry rookie WR in here i'd take that, Ej has Woods, Dalton Has Green, Luck has Hilton......although cam has smith besides that it's paper thin plus smitty isn't getting younger(although i wish) get cam a Wr in the draft who reflects Anquan Boldins hunger his rookie year

Even teams with failed young QBs have attempted to put pieces around the guy to give him a chance.  Minnesota drafted TE Kyle Rudolph in the 2cd round the year they picked Ponder.  Then they drafted Matt Kalil at LT #2 overall the year after, then this year they drafted WR Cordarrelle Patterson in the 1st round.  Jacksonville drafted WR Justin Blackmon #5 overall the year after they drafted Blaine Gabbert and then this year they took LT Luke Joekel #2 overall.

Since drafting Cam Newton, the Panthers have added a couple of small school project OGs, a couple of undrafted FA OTs (wait, I'm sorry, one of those guys is actually a DT who we're trying to teach to play OT), and a few bargain basement WRs.  Really starts to put things in perspective, huh?
