I say trade him before the deadline.  He isn't going to make or break our season.  We've got problems that will take years to fix.  Actually, we all knew this all along.  I'm not sure why everyone is so shocked that we suck.

I get it's a business, but this kind of greed doesn't help the culture in the locker room. Let him walk and if some team wants to shell out that money then - I wish him well. At this point in time we need different fresh guys who can grow and work with this team.

He should probably wait until the season has transpired before talking cash - injuries can happen, performance can fall, your human and you can be inconsistent. But, if he's hoping he'll get a trade out of here now then wow - go ahead on.

That's before he over-valued (out-priced) himself from this team. If the Panthers made him a fair offer & he turned it down, then he can 'go on with his bad self'. WE are Panther fans & anything or anyone detrimental to the team is against what we love.

 

Top notch players can negotiate, get paid, etc.  But for him to have this attitude when all he has is 1 very good season & then some flashes is not what OUR team needs.  If he wants to get his $, then he should just move on.

 

It's not 'turning on him', it's more turning him off if he doesn't want to be here.

We should never overpay for any player. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just asking for another Hurney type of situation. He got a fair deal. If he doesn't like it, he can leave. We have way bigger holes on this team.

We don't know the details, and Kraken has all the leverage since he goes to FA and some team will overpay.

 

Robert Mathis got a 4 year 36 mil extension, I think Hardy is around that figure.
