Kraken turned down an offer?

We can franchise him, but Hurney keeps screwing us from the unemployment line.  Yes, CJ has (arguably) earned his $$, but at the time he was a 1-hit wonder and we had only one team interested in him--cap-strapped Atlanta.  We could have offered him about $8 million per year and sealed the deal.

Alexander needs to play.  If we do not re-sign Hardy, we can bring in a top WR or a few top OL.  We have bigger needs than DE, even if Hardy is gone.

I really think Hardy is valuable, but not at $12 million per season.  DEs are great, but yesterday, Hardy was against a backup LT.  Crickets.

Charles Johnson

Frank Alexander

Wes Horton

Mario Addison

---not bad if they continue to get better--remember, Johnson and Hardy were not great their first two years.
