For those of you watching the SD/OAK game

Watch the Chargers offense. Spreading the field wide, keeping the box open, forcing an OLB or 2 into coverage and away from the quarterback, quick routes with receivers going all different directions, lots of motion.

THIS is the kind of offense that is tailor made for Cam Newton.

DeAngelo, however, struggles in this kind of offense taking handoffs as we saw with Chud, but who really gives a fu*k? He's fantastic on screen passes, and those are used often in the shotgun in McCoy's offense. Also, the Chargers utilize plenty of traditional I-form run formations that can help our run game and balance our offense.

Watch this offense, and picture Cam running it. All kinds of formations, very balanced, but all kinds of different things are happening. But they rarely bunch the formations unless there is motion. It's fantastic. Their offense is a perfect medium medium between Chud's and Shula's (and there are positive aspects of both).

Take notes Shula/Rivera/Next coach and coordinator. This is where the Panthers will find success

Wow! Moore just made a wide open catch in the endzone. Trade for him now!

Well, to be fair it was Richard Marshall "covering" him.  You know, the guy who we picked in the 2nd round who thought he was going to be the highest paid defensive player in the league once his rookie contract was up?  THAT Richard Marshall.  LOL

    • That throw had 40+ air yards on it. He needs to stop trying to high point a ball that’s hitting him in stride
    • One of those passes was the David Moore drop in the back of the endzone. Another was the overthrow towards XL in order to keep time on the clock to kick the field goal with nobody open. There's also the David Moore drop down the sideline near the start of Q3 and XL's drop on the deep ball towards the end of Q4. The remaining three are the miss to AT who looks to have ran to the near pylon rather than far where BY threw it, the high throw to David Moore in the endzone that the commentators mentioned that Coker would have been there for, and the drop by Tremble in the endzone after JT had gotten hurt.   So 4 drops, 1 throw away, a bad route, and a high throw.
    • The Panthers can't beat the Eagles unless they fall apart. The Bucs, Falcons, & Cardinals are all in must win spots today for a playoff spot or their division titles. The Cowboys are playing much better team ball since me-me-me went on IR. One win possible in the rest of season, IMO
