Robert Lester appears solid

top dawg

I agree he has great instincts and natural feel for the game, and I've loved what he's done fir the most part. His ability to always be around the ball when jt is in the air is a gift, and certainly ine that Godfrey didn't really have.

That being said, I wouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves and claiming he's the man for the job long-term. One negative I have noticed about him though is that he has taken bad angles on several runs, but other than that, I've been impressed.

I wouldn't call that a bad angle though. Lester just went inside the blocker and the runner went outside. It was a 50/50 play. If he goes outside the blocker Ellington cuts it up inside.

Ellington is also a bad man...not sure why they don't use him even more. He is having a great year thus far

Great start for Lester.

dudes not a major upgrade over godfrey..........but he appears solid, with some good coaching and training could take godfrey's spot next year still want mikell in when he's healthy but def. have lester in the rotation.......quick note, had that have been another qb that would have been a TD instead of a pick, good play by him nevertheless

Godfrey would have been two steps late and never turned around...

I don't believe that you can really say that it would have been a TD with another QB. Maybe. I think it was more about Lester making a good play than Palmer making a bad play, but it's just an opinion.

He's a little slow and stiff like the scouts said but he is instinctive and plays smart football. Plus, he learned from Nick Saban. Alabama is to football as Harvard is to academics.

Yeah, it's almost like he is uncomfortable out there. Or, maybe his working awkwardness makes me feel uncomfortable.  Either way, it kinda works for him (so far).

i say a little of both with majority being carson's fault, he under-threw it and he also threw it late.......i don't want to take anything away from him it was a good play
