I have never once said anything negative about Cam Newton, but...

Guys, I'm not sure if I'm conveying how much this pains me. I'm literally getting a headache having come to this conclusion. I like Cam Newton that much and think he could have been the superstar Charlotte needed if these mental things didn't get in the way. It's possible for him to start getting rid of it faster I GUESS, but I don't see this 4th quarter thing going away for the rest of his career. He needs a sports psychologist man.

100% agree..Love Cam, want him to succeed. The physical tools are there, but the decision making and perhaps understanding of the game seem up in the air at best.

Yes because I don't think Cam is the answer that must mean I want Jimmy Clausen back. Clearly.

Who do you want sir? Luck? Peyton? Brees? I don't know about you but Peyton can't make Steve Smith catch that first down pass. Can't make Lafell or Barner catch balls that hit their hands. Can't make Norman not blow coverage against buffalo and sure as hell can't make Deangelo not fumble against Seattle. You fix everything around Cam Newton and THEN you figure out if Cam is the answer.

Then why did Andrew Luck need more pass attempts to break the record? Why didn't any of the other young qbs also break the record? And by the way he broke Peytons record on less attempts......dumbass

Geno Smith is on record to have beaten Manning's record and he is doing it with less pass attempts so that must mean he is better than everyone because pass attempts mean everything.

When Cam has a legit WR core and an average O-line(not asking for much, just an average one) and he still jas bad games, then I will be on the get a new QB bandwagon. A better OC is also needed.

This needs to be addressed before Cam's growth as a player is permanently stunted. This is his 3rd season and the front office has done very little in terms of the draft and FA to support Cam's development. Hopefully DG does this asap, and make smart aggressive moves in FA and the draft.

Nobody is saying those drops were not problems Ace, damn. It's just time that Cam's inaccuracy and bad decisions are viewed as part of the issues along with the drops of Smith, Lafell, and the poor Oline play. Bell gets beat like a dog, there is no reason to create a Bell sucks thread. Cam is somehow viewed a a victim of a bad team for his mistakes however and it is not always valid

What exactly are you guys wanting from Cam Newton?

Most guys accepted that he would be a project that would need time when we drafted him. He exceeded those expectations.

Now the natural assumption is that he should have progressed to a guy that can simply put the team on his back and carry a team like the ultra elites.

O line be damned, WRs be damned, coaching be damned

He had us in positions to score. He made some costly mistakes, sure. There were also drops. Bad o-line play, bad coaching decisions, etc.

We can go back to square one and start drafting more rookie QBs or hoping we get stop gaps like we did for over a decade before Cam

Or we can continue to be patient and cultivate this immense talent as he continues to progress.

Most QBs are helter skelter until their 4th ot 5th season. But it is too early to start throwing up our hands and saying "Welp, on to the next guy"

LOL Cam "Took" a safety??? I see you didnt watch the game and only looked at the stat sheet.

He did take it up the arse....thanks to Kalil and Wharton both whiffing on blocks.

It always is amusing to see our OL back up and literally block no one.
