Where did I say that Luck wasn't "good?" Please read. I said he's not being measured by the same stick QBs like Dalton, Cam, and other young QBs are measured with.

As a matter of fact, whenever asked who is a better QB at this point, Luck automatically goes to the head of the class without much reservations but not so with any of the other QBs. Their defense is that he's taken a bunch of "rag tag players and made the Colts a winning team. Hmmmm, are they talking about the same Colts team that was deep in the Play-offs 2010. But tanked their season when Peyton went down so they could get Luck? Let's be real, the Colts team was not the Panthers when they acquired Luck.

Also, I think you're talking about my peeve with how the media treated Blaine Gabbert, the other "chosen QB" who was never scrutinized by them. But they don't need to now,  I rest my case.

My argument has always been the selective manner in which these young QBs are judged by those in the media. I will continue to point out the obvious.

You really should change your user title to "uninformed (and proud of it)"

NFL teams in the real world don't tank seasons. The whole idea is so ridiculously stupid you have to have an IQ in the single digits to even think it's possible.

Blaine Gabbert wasn't scrutinized?  Riiiigght

About the only thing you will "continue to point out" is how ridiculously little knowledge you have about football.

That's pretty funny actually, given that anytime a discussion comes up of legitimate things Newton needs to improve on, you're one of the main folks whose entire posts boil down to the phrase "no, he doesn't"

Among the "it's everybody else's fault but Cam's crowd, you're probably the second most vocal.  Footballisasport would be the first, but I generally ignore him given that the sum total of his football knowledge is found in his user name.

Which is proving mine.

If someone came in and posted about Newton's performance in a game the way you're posting about Luck - ignoring anything at all positive, minimizing anything related to team mistakes, etc - you'd be screaming "haters".  But you come here and apply the same tactics to Luck, which doesn't make you look confident in Cam.

Exactly the opposite.  It makes you look like you'll take any path to tear down other QBs who succeed, even the tactics you criticize others using against Newton.  That's not confidence.  It's insecurity.  Reality is the continuing attempt to prove everyone else isn't so great makes this crowd sound like a bunch of jealous teenage girls tearing down a school rival.

Truth be told, Luck's name likely wouldn't even come up on this page (why should it? he's in the AFC and we don't play him this year) if it weren't for insecure fans looking for something they can use to tear him down.

How about you try talking about Newton without this schoolgirl need to tear down everybody else and then maybe we can have an actual adult discussion?

Forgive me for taking so long to reply. I honestly just now noticed I was quoted. But anyways you obviously have me confused with someone else.  I literally made no mention of Cam. AT ALL!!! And since you have given no analysis of ANY football related skill or performance but instead have constantly chosen to insult and ridicule I must ask what football experience you are drawing your opinion from.

I hate to keep saying this, and give credence to what certain people say about media double standards, but if Cam Newton had a half like the first half Luck just had..... it would be all over twitter, on the Huddle, and in the media about how he isn't an NFL QB, he is inaccurate, can't read defenses, and is a certain bust.

Just saying.

Shoot...forget the media. There would  have been 100 threads on how much Cam has regressed since last week's game. As a matter of fact, there were threads created today on those two Ints, where some started in on Cam. SMH

We can joke about it but it's so obvious that it's downright sad.

Luck just missed a wide open man in the endzone. Didn't throw to him.

Hmmm....He did it twice with two different receivers. One he sailed and the other one, don't know who he was throwing it too. I guess Trent Richardson isn't playing tonight. Luck looks like his usual self out there.

On the other hand, that Texan QB looks all kinds of IMPRESSIVE. He's been playing Houdini throughout this game. I almost thought he was going to pull the same stunt Cam pulled earlier today against the Falcon's defense.

This fugging Keenum guy is going all Jake Delhomme on their asses. Slapping everyone around and chucking the ball all over the place.

Fun to watch and players are responding to him

I am dying with laughter. The kid is like Houdini. He's not as solid and elusive as Cam and Russell but he's getting the job done.

I am sitting here praying he doesn't trip over himself as he escapes the grasp of the Colt's defense. His unorthodox style of playing is indeed quite entertaining. He's making Luck look extremely vanilla out there.
