Game 1: Hurricanes vs. Red Wings

Recommended Posts

Welp...

It's game day folks!!!

The Hurricanes will begin their quest for a Stanley Cup tonight against the Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings are coming off of a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres where Ryan Miller actually kept the score much closer than it should have been.

As far as the Hurricanes are concerned, they are flying under the radar this year and are featuring quite a few new faces, hopefully the sweet tea line (Tlusty - E. Staal - Semin) will continue their success as other players begin to step up.

P.S. I will be at the game as I made the trip down from Lynchburg for fall break so I will not be chatting with you guys tonight.

Do you think Bellemore and Murphy genuinely beat out Komi for the defensive start or do you think Muller is giving them an early season look? It bothers me that he's the extra right now. Hopefully we can get Gleason back soon and hopefully he's in better shape than he was last year.

That's just what they have been going with in the morning skates.

The projected line up is based off of the Hurricanes depth chart and the tweets from Chip Alexander and Michael Smith.
