Beason traded?

Too soon. Never had a chance to come back from the injury. Seems unlikely we would keep Davis after 3 knee surgeries.. and only keep beason for 3 games... trading him for a 7th is moronic. I don't care who you are.

This is like the 5th time I've seen this argument pop up. Surely you guys are saying this in, at least somewhat, jest. Because otherwise you're all fuging morons.

I'd be happy to buy beason jersey still.

I don't understand why fans with jerseys stop wearing them when the player is no longer wuth the team.

Far from useless threads.

I'm buying another one as soon as they go on sale tomorrow. He's from The |_| so I'm gonna get a teal Nike to go with my teal reebok Peppers throwback!

Honestly, this is really a stupid trade, and anything other than Nicks, WHICH WAS HIGHLY UNLIKELY AND IMPROBABLE, isn't enough.  I don't care if Beason is still relatively unhealthy...  He's a good influence on other players and is an invaluable presence in the locker room.  He keeps morale up and provides leadership, even if he isn't able to play.

So, we just have possibly the biggest (both literally and figuratively) win in franchise history, possibly shifting an overwhelming amount of momentum in our favor that could possibly carry us into a rare winning streak, and you trade away a locker room favorite and team leader???

And we trade him for nothing?  Basically, a favor for his old team...  I don't care if he has little to no value elsewhere, he has value in the locker room here and the odds are highly skewed in the direction that we will not get anything close to Beason on the field or in the locker room with a shitty late round pick.

Stupid trade at a even dumber time to do it.  Huge strike against Gettleman if all we get is a late-round pick, IMO.

FWIW this franchsie absolutely does have to steer away from this falling in love with players forever bullshit. And giving fat contracts cuz i lub you man.

Gettleman may be the guy to sternly move us forward because lord knows the old way didn't work, not at all.

It's super clear who has played a sport and who hasn't...

Some times athletes are worth more than what they do just on the field.

Having the opportunity to be a part of a college coaching staff, I found this out last year.

I played sports my whole life and have some college rings to show for it.

We had a couple of smart bench players who went on to other coaching staffs.

When they graduated, we still won titles.

This times 1 million!!!!

Should have been classy and let him pick in the offseason if he wanted to stay here rather than go someplace else.

This is all out the window though if he requested this.
