Sideline guys and role players still can have big impacts.....if they were vets who were good at one time.

Id rather have a good leader, smart film room guy, motivator who was a roleplayer/backup than a 7th. Part with a respected guy in the offseason rather than in season.

All I keep seeing is... "Hey, at least we are getting something for him".

 

Our last 7th round pick (D.J. Campbell- 2012) isn't even on the roster anymore.

 

There is no guarantee that we are even getting anything in return for him because a 7th round pick might not even make the roster.

 

Beason would have much more value as a back up to Luke and Blackburn than a 7th round pick would.
