Anyone need a puppy?

I'm gonna go home and read the whole HOA agreement.

Excellent.

Pay attention to their own rules. Look for any concrete wording on grandfathering and communication. Also check how new rules are voted on and approved and read carefully the clause about legal fees.

Post some wording here if you have questions.

So I adopted a pit bull puppy from animal shelter 2 months ago. The female puppy is absolutely amazing loving dog. Here comes the new managing company for our HOA and establishes new rule that no pit bulls allowed in the neighborhood. This is disgusting... I have no choice but to try to give her away. I called animal shelter and they said they might put her down because they have too many pit bulls already. She's 4 month old American Pit Bull terrier. She loves cuddling and sleeping so she's not much work at all. She's house broken and already had all her shots, spade and microchipped. She's good with other dogs and kids. The hate for pit bulls is beyond me...

Here's her picture with my german sheppard

that's not a pit bull, its a boxer

hint hint

also, imo, shepherds are way more dangerous if raised improperly

You were given a copy of the HOA when you moved in, correct? Pit Bulls are not banned in it, correct? Give them a jar of Vaseline and tell them to go fug themselves.

My parents had the same problem when they got a dobie. People freaked out and the HOA banned dobies because "people were concerned for their safety in having an aggressive breed in their community." Which was funny because the "concerned" neighbors had poodles, labs, golden retrievers, & chihuahuas. All breeds that outnumber Doberman's at least 10 to 1 in human bite cases.

For some reason I don't worry about my wife and baby walking through the neighborhood with an escaped pack of angry dachshunds running amuck

If you can't differentiate between a docile-temperament, socialized Pit raised by a responsible owner and a overly inbred Pit "raised" by some thug or redneck then your child has a far more dangerous concern than potentially being attacked by a dog. Mainly having you as an incompetent father.

I can assist with finding a home if need be. The city or county pound or shelter is not an option. Either an SPCA, no-kill shelter or rescue is the route you want to take.

Please do not surrender the dog to a city or county facility as it will be euthanized within a week.

It takes more than one generation to breed out aggressiveness as it is a genetic trait. I'll take my incompetence any day of the week over some person who thinks their dog is not a menace. I'm a dog owner myself but would gladly see pits cease to exist as as breed.

Interesting that you can tell that puppy has aggressiveness in it's bloodline by looking at a picture.
