if i somehow missed this and i'm posting old news, delete, but there's a report up on NFL.com right now chronicling the current schiano denial that he leaked freeman's drug rehab (which i didn't even know was a thing) to the press

When Josh Freeman stated Monday that he has "taken and passed" 46 drug tests, he also hinted at a belief that sources inside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization leaked his Stage One status in the NFL's substance-abuse program.

At Tuesday's news conference, coach Greg Schiano replied "absolutely not" when asked if he was the confidential source responsible for the report.

"I really don't want to get into what Josh's thoughts are about how things got out," Schiano added. "I know what I've done, and I'm 100 percent comfortable with my behavior. One hundred percent."

Schiano further insisted that his relationship with Freeman is not uncomfortable.

This is so Junior High. So they benched the guy and is now trying to make sure no other team gets or wants him. So sad.

If they really "leaked" his personal medical information, and the NFL can find legitimate evidence that they did - the NFL should severely punish the Bucs and whichever person did this.

Schiano is in danger of coaching himself out of a college job when he's fired in a few months.

Rick Stroud ‏@NFLSTROUD

#Bucs QB Josh Freeman was fined at least twice for a total of $31,500. He is appealing. $10,500 was for his unauthorized ESPN interview

Wow. This thing gets uglier by the day. I've never thought too highly of JF as a player, but I'd def side w/ him if I had to pick. I hope the NFL fines the crap out of the Bucs for releasing his medical information.

Schiano is in serious danger of burning all of his bridges as a head coach. He seems totally unprofessional.

Man if Schiano released this poo...  I really hope he didn't.

This situation is beyond the kind of thing I like laughing about when a team implodes.  Releasing medical records?  That's some personal poo...

I feel bad for Freeman, heh.
