Scouting the Cardinals (Observations from TBvsARI)

Cards D is opportunistic.  They don't seem to force a lot of mistakes with pressure/coverage, but if you make a bad mental mistake, they will be there to capitalize.  They are disciplined and have skill at critical positions.  Their ST is perhaps the biggest wild card in this game.  Peterson is a grown man and he can take the ball to the house on any given play.  KOs I'm not worried about, cause Gano is the king of the touchback, but punts worry me a little on both sides because we have had some costly mental lapses.

I think our D-line will make life difficult for Palmer.  He hasn't faced a pass rush like ours this season and he is the kind of pocket passer that 1) like Manning will start to get hesitant and jumpy when he can't step up and 2) he will feel that phantom pressure even when it isn't quite getting there and rush his throws.  Fitzgerald is a great, great receiver (and he has beaten us essentially by himself before--think 2008 playoffs).  But I think his opportunities will be limited.  AZ doesn't have a great running game and that's probably where we will hurt them the most because we do.  We can eat up the clock and keep their defense on the field.

Ginn will play a major role because Smitty will likely be covered by PP.  THe deep play action will be on all day if we can get the running game rolling early. Cam has got to get a few nice runs on that first drive.  Then, settle in and hit his receivers.

Going on the road is never easy, but we have played well in AZ before.  I also think it is to our advantage that the Cards are coming off a close road win vs a pretty crappy team.  Winning like that masks a lot of issues that normally would be addressed if it were a loss.  If we can hold onto some of that momentum from the Giants win and bring energy and focus to the field on Sunday, I don't think the Cards will know what hit them.

The cardinals were down 10-0 at half and scored all their points in the 4th quarter.  While I know we have had troubles containing folks in the second half, Palmer tends to struggle late if he struggles early and faces a big pass rush.  He did little with Oakland last year against us and with the exception of Fitz doesn't have big weapons so really we should match up pretty well.

here's your scouting report: the cardinals fuging suck

their offensive line is sieve and carson palmer is terrible. all their linebackers are dead. they have dansby, peterson, fitzgerald, then 49 people named mike.

if the panthers blow that game then most of the bandwagoners that thought the giants win meant something are going to vanish, so it's a win win for me tbqh

This is a crucial game.  We HAVE to come out and play with that fire that we had in the Giant game.   If we come out flat and blow this game.  It will be SSDD.  Same poo Different Day. (Year)

Cam hasn't won after a bye.  Let's hope he doesn't come out flat like he did against Tennessee a couple years ago.

If Ron's job was on the line every week, there aren't too many teams outside of Denver that could fug with us.

Arizona has a decent veteran O-Line that seems to be underperforming half of the time. We could cause problems.

Losing Cooper hurt them pretty bad. From everything I have read on their boards offensive-line seems to be their biggest weakness and they are flat out just not going to cut it. Should be another feeding frenzy for our front 7 and I expect Palmer to throw some interceptions.

I feel like every team out side of a few are confident in their oline. Doesnt seem like there are elite olines in this league
