Titans listening to offers for Kenny Britt

I am a fan. I didn't say Britt was or wasn't my guy. I don't have to make up my mind. I can see the logic between offering a low round trade, or leaving him alone. The way that this organization works, especially when it comes to WR, is to gamble on a mid round pick and/or screw up the occasional 2nd rounder. You obviously feel our WR corps is presently sufficient, or "good enough" (like G-man said of Ginn's hands) to get us through this season, at the very least. I don't. Simple as that. The point of my post was to challenge your insinuation that making a move on Britt would be nonsensical. Obviously, I don't agree.

The real guy I would have liked to have had is Denarius Moore (which is probably too late now that he has shown more promise this year) Seems like as well, which again speaks to our main point of contention: the quality and talent level of our receiving corps, and whether we could benefit from making a move right now. I say yes. You say no. History says that it's a moot point because the FO more likely has your mindset. Of course history also says that our offense has lacked for the last few years because of no legitimate every down threat except for Steve Smith...

I also would have liked Flash Gordon, and he was even reported to be on the trade block for that hot minute (but it's probably too late for him also).

Don't get me wrong.  I am not saying that I wouldn't want lots of folks out there.  There are probably 20 receivers I would want if they were available.  I am just thinking like a GM here not a fan.  If I were Gettleman I would ride with who we have and make changes after the season.  If we are trying to pare cap room and be in the best position next year then we can go with who we have.

IMO, Britt is no better than Lafell, Hixon, Murphy, and every other #2/3 WR that he is comparable to that we've brought in since Moose left.  Cam neads a stud WR more than anything right now.  I think Hakeem Nicks is the floor for how low a calibre player we need to get by opening day 2014.  If we didn't always look into the bargain WRs lately, I might be more apt for the gamble, but no thank you Britt.  I'd prefer someone like Josh Gordon (not being traded), or Nicks.
