"Team Name Here"'s offense didn't show up against the Panthers

4 losing seasons in a row... no one gives a poo about respecting losing teams...

/spelled out

Ill spell it out for you. This isn't about respect. This is the fact that two out of our three games are being looked at as a black eye for our opponents. It's not being tied together by the National Media that we are the common denominator and if we had won the Buffalo game, it would be tied together.

It's not about respect or a spotlight. It's just, "team name here"s offense didn't show up.

You are all seriously not reading my post. It's not simply from a numbers stand point or boo fuggidy who. It's just that any time, I hear about a supposedly good or should be good team, it's, "oh well they didn't show up at Carolina." I like that fact that two out of our three games have become, "well, against Carolina" kind of games.

I'm just saying there is a correlation now between, "against Carolina, blah bloo blah didn't show up." As opposed to a Jimmy Clausen butt fumble or Jimmy taking the snap and running for a TD for the other team.

A positive correlation meaning, there is a connection between two phenomena that are interconnected. Our defense plays well, the "team name here"s offense didn't show up.

You all either have terrible reading comprehension or just don't read posts and only read the title.

I'm not trying to be a dick but it's not a lack of reading comprehension but more of a lack of having an interesting point on your part. I mean, we get it, there's nothing difficult to comprehend there. But, ok, neat.

You have so much to add to any thread on this site, what do you have to say here? Nothing except for, "neat." Matches your IQ. Neat, my ten month old could think more in depth to come up with something to contribute. If you really have an issue with the point I actually made, why don't you come up with something interesting or not post.

I see so many "POINT" less threads on here I figured I would start one that actually had a central thesis that had discussion potential.

I'm sure opponents on our schedule have noticed especially the O. Cords and QB's

I see you have a little panthers fan as well. Maybe it's time to suggest to the organization they take up a young panthers fan club of some kind.

In other news, I think they have noticed. But even former players don't see it. I'd like to hear Brian Dawkins take but that is the only person I trust to look from a purely objective standpoint. Ray Lewis should be a decent talking head coming up.

We all fall into the trap occasionally where when we hear people talk about our beloved Panthers, it's like hearing someone insult your family.  This makes even the most level headed of us lose touch with reality for a moment and spout off at the mouth.  I'm as guilty of this as anyone(Made a bet with a Dolphins fan that we would end up with the better record, loser pays at The Capital Grill downtown.  GENIUS!!).

We all have a vested interest in the way this team performs and we all want so badly to taste victory our "want to" gets in the way of our intelligence(loose interpretation here).

The Panthers (to us) look like a special team on the verge of a break out.

The Panthers (to everyone else) look exactly the same as they have for the last 3 years(inconsistent).

Only time will tell which of the above statement holds more truth.

everything is getting read...  it just doesn't mean anything when this team hasn't even earned respect from their fans, especially some douche who never watches our games....

it has everything to do with respect...  "any team here" is better than the horrifically inconsistent Carolina Panthers on most Sundays, even the Chiefs in 2012.  Especially when their "brilliant" coaches think it's a great idea to run away from a 2 TE set that was so efficient in 2011.

Nothing tells me that anyone should feel good about beating the Panthers the last 4 years....

fify

8-8 is still a losing season in my book.  Especially after 2008's promising run to 12-4..

how much stock are you going to put into people who obviously have no clue about panthers football or the nfl?  we stand toe to toe with every team we play.  its the little things, we start to do them right and we have complete opposite results.  the last game was hopefully the perfect storm moment this team needed and we start to show our true potential.

Problem is that the real issue we have had is coaching. While our offensive had been unimaginative up until last week, our defense started 3 rookies and a few other guys with less than 5 years. Without Rivera, we don't play near as well with 3 rookies on defense.

No team should feel good about losing to any team in my opinion. That really shows complacency, which can exist on a losing team.

basically this topic will become a non-issue if we actually win more games than we lose and put up a great fight on a consistent basis..

then the team will have reason to feel a little discredited when it's about the other team never showing up..   at this point though, it's called for, IMO..

I find it funny that the Panthers can destroy a team a few years removed from winning the superbowl, and the only thing people talk about is the fugging under armour bullshit on cam. Not mentioning the great game Carolina played.

BUT when the 49ers beat the below average Rams, the conversation stays on point to what happened.

In short.

Carolina+blowout+goodteam= Cam did something illegal.

49ers+stomp+medicoreteam= 49ers are great and the Rams are in trouble.

To be fair to the Rams, they weren't going to do much anyway. They really have a defense built to succeed but when your offense can't move the ball it will wear on you. Bradford under threw Brian Quick in double coverage, instead of throwing it up to the 6'4 guy with a reported 40 inch vertical. He overthrew Austin Pettis on a sure fire TD. They just can't do anything on offense.

you may find it funny, but it's not that hard to believe...

who is more reliable, sustainable, and marketable?

Steve Jobs, the visionary, loses his massive company he built from the basement up only to then reclaims his empire...  (before the iphone)

or,

Joe Blow, the self-made business owner, shows promise by building 2 successful companies but both go under after the economy tanks, and he is now working hard on his 3rd venture that looks promising with profits in the black?

large, successful companies proving consistency mean more to 99.99% of anyone breathing than the guy who shows incredible promise on a much smaller level that has had hiccups along the way...

bad analogy?  I tried...
