james jones is another option

He's actually one of my good friends. During the lockout season i was joking to him saying that he should play for Carolina, and he was like "who is gonna play QB" and i said Cam and he started lauging. After he played against them in 2011 I talked to him again and he said that Cam is the real deal :-) I doubt he would want to leave though cuz he's happy in Green Bay, but you never know

We need to find a premium WR in the draft, many good prospects next year. We get him at the rookie contract and don't have to pay big bucks for a vet who may or may not work out here. Our cap situation will not be great next year either even though DG has done a good job. Between trying to resign players and still eating some of Hurneys contracts, we need to get the best deals on top draft prospects to fill this need and not break the bank.

Part of me would rather get a vet WR so the learning curve wouldn't be a problem. But finding one good enough and cheap enough would not be an easy task. A vet would probably be the best way to go, but it would be more expensive to get one that could produce right away.

Getting a WR in the draft is probably the best way to go. Would be cheaper, but it could take some time for him to find his groove. Although some rookies can make an impact rather quickly. They just are such a hit or miss proposition.

Both have there positives and negatives. Glad I don't have to make this decision.

Now, if money is no object. Megatron all the way.

Because saying nicks is no good and calling it fact is certainly contributing. Teach me your snarky, sad, angry ways please

Someone go ahead and try to sell me on Nicks then, but for us to give him market value (50 million) for a top FA receiver right now with our salary cap and number of free agents next year, they better absolutely wow me.

I don't want to hear about how good he's supposedly looked in the past for NY. Oh, he's a Super Bowl champion, that's great. Hixon has two rings, and he can barely get on the field. David Tyree has a ring and a miraculous catch, and guess what, he's out of the league. The other Steve Smith also has a ring, he's out of the league too.

Tell me when the last time one of these "future star receivers" on the Giants left and did poo elsewhere. I'll wait.

If your trying to say hixon Steve smith and tyree our on the level of nicks there's no point having this argument cause you know nothing about football.

Instead of these weak cop outs and insults, how about you actually respond with a real argument.

Please expound on why exactly you think Nicks is already a legendary elite WR worthy of a huge contract.
