Make a Run at Dwayne Bowe in the Offseason?

Because Smith wasn't upset he didn't get the TD when Lafell scored last week...it's just the WR mentality, can't expect them to start, to run routes for 3 hours and not be upset about not catching 1 pass.

The average NFL game is 11 minutes of actual play time. He's running routes for roughly 5.5 minutes not three hours. If I got paid handsomely to run around, I wouldn't complain about poo.

have to like gettleman in this scenerio, what he did in one offseason is spectacular.  bowe, nicks etc.. doesnt seem like a good fit here unless the cost is low imo.

i like cecil shorts, its his 3rd yr on a rookie contract, also eric decker might want to bounce for a little more cash and we could poss afford both.  lafell, hixon might have to go.

What is the nature of this thread? Have you overheard somebody who overheard somebody say something?

I was just watching a replay of the Chiefs vs Eagles game, and I noticed how Alex Smith wasn't even looking in Bowe's direction.

So pure speculation. Based on this thread, most people seem to think it's a bad idea. I think the contract is a big hurdle, but I'd rather get a more proven WR like Bowe then draft one.

So probably a bad thread idea I normally wouldn't post except for the bye week.

Here is a list of 2014 free agent receivers:

Nobody is really that impressive except Nicks, and if he does hit free agency we wont be a team that overpays.  The last big name guy we signed was....Ken Lucas in 2005.  Unless you count Olindo Mare.  Our owner wants our teams built through the draft, and our GM is counting his pennies right now.
