Our WR's can't get YAC's

"Carolina is last in the league in YAC. How long will Cam continue to selfishly throw passes into the endzone for TDs? Stay tuned, Jaws and Hodge will breakdown why Cam's selfishness will ruin his team's locker room. But first, Polian, Gruden, and Bruschi talk about the QBs of the future: Luck, Colin, Wilson, and RG3. With a bonus interview with RG3's 3rd grade teacher's hair stylist's niece."

Colin looks as bad as I thought he was. I never thought he passed the proverbial eye test but still managed to get it done. He has no form and in my opinion is awkward in the pocket. He's fast, he can throw the hell out of the ball but he is not as accurate as he needs to be to beat man to man consistently, especially if his receivers continue to struggle and the play calling stays the same.

ESPN put him up, it's time for the fans to start tearing him down. I feel for him because he's not in an ideal situation offensively and their play calling was unimaginative as can be.

It is very hard to screen with a qb like Cam as the defense will have players spying on him on all plays, those spies will also be in great position to get to the screen receiver.

No screens == less YAC.

Same reasoning with quick throws, Cam can buy himself time so no need to use them (of course unless your RT is named Bell and Mario Williams are on the other team...).

That, and the strongest arm in the league.

RG3's stats are just fluff, especially three games into this season as garbage time rolls around. He completes a 2 yard competion and it turns into a 25 yard play.

I'm glad he's getting the Cam Newton treatment now. Washington fans have been insufferable.

I said from day one he wasn't anything like people said he was. All you had to do was watch him play in college, it's like these analysts heard someone say something once and then they all just repeated each other.

@Rules&Regulations

I hear you. But as Jarhead said "it's still early. Let's wait and see'?

It's also safe to say, that Carolina's receivers aren't the toughest or shiftiest in the league as far as YAC is concerned. Carolina's receivers, don't even fight for, over defenders (on imperfect throws) as you see so many other receivers do all the time.

Of course, KBarner, may have something to do with that, when he comes back, and if Cam/Shula runs screens for Ted Ginn.

We'll see?
