ESPN Blog: "Giants Need To Get Angry Like The Panthers"

Look at the team that just crushed them Sunday. The Panthers spent the past week furious about the way they'd lost their Week 2 game to Buffalo. They had the lead and let rookie quarterback EJ Manuel march down the field and throw a game-winning touchdown pass to a wide-open Stevie Johnson in the end zone. It was embarrassing, and as they spent the week answering questions about how they were going to overcome all of the injuries in their secondary, they seethed. They compared themselves to wounded dogs. Their defensive linemen took it upon themselves to make a mess of the Giants' offense -- to take out all of their frustrations by sacking Eli Manning over and over again and making the statement that they didn't like the way it felt to be run over by Buffalo.

When will the Giants play a game like that? This week? Next week? Ever?

Hey, at least it's recognition from somewhere. . .

The offensive line for Giants has just slowly been giving up and it was like yesterday they finally hit the wall and didn't even try. I did notice Eli sacked himself once or twice knowing beforehand the line wouldn't hold up.

It's nice to see some articles acknowledging that we did still show up and play. Most of the news has been about Giants in despair, Giants 0-3, Giants in trouble?, and then they show all the sack highlights and one interception highlight and then mention us once with Cam having a pretty TD pass to Ginn - end of highlight sequence. Analysts then proceed to talk about the Giants for the next 15 minutes with no mention or acknowledgement of what the Panthers might be doing or Rivera or anything.

I guess we do have a bye, whereas the Giants have to travel to play the Chiefs D which has looked pretty legit. They're definitely going to be 0-4.

Was the number one pass offense, lost to Dallas by a small margin despite 6 turnovers....no clue what is destroying them from inside.....they did kick all their productive RB's to the curb....and then resigned Jacobs last week. Weird.

Outside of Wilson's two fumbles, its not really him. He has the talent to be a top back in this league. Its probably honestly just the offensive line and d-line.

This week will be a slow week for sure....but next week they will for sure amp it up....talk about how this game puts us back at .500 and how we still haven't lost any division games and how the NFC is shaping up....Boys we have a chance to win the division to get a wild card to make the playoffs....Boys we have to keep pounding.....and win game number 1....its not only next man up its next team up....one game at a time.....KEEP POUNDING!!!
