He's not aggressive unless his job is on the line. He had to win the remainder of our games in the latter part of the season last year to not get fired and he had to win yesterday's game to not get fired. Being desperate made him more aggressive in his offensive plans. He just needs to fuging translate that poo to all games, his conservative style does not fuging work.

Yeah, that's why it's so fuging infuriating.  We were a dominant ass team the last half of 2012, and were dominant as fug yesterday--the only times he's coached with urgency in his tenure here.  Hopefully this fuger can put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4.

We could very possibly have something special here if Rivera would just say fug it and go balls deep.

All this hate. Personally, I think Rivera is just a couple of decisions away from being a good coach. His offensive aggressiveness was a step in the right direction. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Rivera like Cam is a work in progress.  He admitted that he should have gone for it last week and did this week.  Why bash him?  The only concern I have is that given how dominant the defense was yesterday he might back off and go conservative.  As long as he doesn't there is every reason to believe he has turned the corner on one of the things that has really contributed to our struggles over the past 19 games.

<snip>

Hopefully he's finally learned his lesson, but it's troubling that it took this fuging long.

What is this, the end of 2011 again?  People were saying this before last season--that he had learned and we were going to be great!  Then 2012 started exactly like 2011 did.  We ended 2012 on a streak and these comments were made again--Rivera had learned!!!!!

Now we start 2013, and see the same old thing from him.  The only difference is, it only took two games for him to start getting scared for his job rather than half a season.

Sorry guys, fool me once, shame on you...  Rivera hasn't shown that he's learned anything.  He's still the same guy, but since we've won a game I guess it's going to be fashionable to defend him again this week.  Personally, I hope it stays fashionable for a while, but that doesn't, and won't mean he's suddenly a good coach.

Don't agree but it doesn't matter. You clearly don't like Rivera and nothing I say will change that. I saw progress you look at history and say he won't or can't change.  I say look at the last of 2012 and tell me he was aggressive even during the winning streak and I will tell you he wasn't.  We were up 23-0 at the end of the third quarter against Atlanta and still had to hold on to win.  This is new and welcome territory.
