Cam's Attitude

I loved his attitude and fire who wants a guy who's ok with losing. People act like he had off the field issues or his displeasure with losing was affecting the squad.

Kobe , Brady, Micheal Jordan, Etc. all take loses hard.

He's matured like any person with age its not that big of a deal IMO.

Cam was never immature here. He just showed too much emotion after losses. I guarantee he still hates losing as much as ever, but he now realizes he has to hide that stuff and stay strong for his team.

I know his teammates have talked to him about it, but I'm really glad his dad sat him down and talked to him.

Just thought I'd put this here:

When things go bad for Colin Kaepernick, he throws a poo fit on the sideline.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--49ers--colin-kaepernick---i-m-frustrated-with-myself--030716991.html

Moments after his final drive on Sunday ended with an interception in the red zone, Colin Kaepernick walked to the sideline, ripped off his helmet and unleashed a torrent of four-letter words.

But you know what?  That's just because Colin Kaepernick is passionate about the game and is a winner!  Not a whiner (like other QBs we know, right?).  And even when he plays like poo, its JUST NOT HIS FAULT!

Though Kaepernick was quick to point the finger at himself, he didn't forget how to play quarterback the past two weeks. The truth is San Francisco's first losing streak of the Jim Harbaugh era has more to do with the rest of the 49ers' offensive personnel than it does their quarterback.

Anyone else here know the name of another young QB that has even FEWER weapons and protection around him but isn't allowed this kind of excusal of his performance OR his behavior?

The difference is: Kaepernick or RG3 could rob a bank, throw a tantrum on the sideline, slap their mother, or try to slip a sexy text to a waitress in the company of their new bride, and the media wouldn't care, over look it, flat out not report it, or make a myriad of excuses for them if/when they had to.

That's the difference. Kaepernick, is a tatted, hyper, wild child punk/hot head type. Everybody knew this already (whether they actually choose to report this or not).

Football wise: Kaepernick and RG3 are mediocre, minus a run game, motion, trickery and the pistol to operate out of. I said that all last year, so I'm not a johnny come lately in this argument. Both those guys get happy feet and are impatient when they have to actually think in the pocket (as opposed to throwing to a pre-directed 1 read/fake spot onto the field to a wide open receiver).

I said, saw it all last year.

    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
    • FLASHBACK: I remember back when ESPN was just starting--he was their anchor.  They used to show stuff like Rodeo and field hockey--I remember laughing when he went to a commercial mocking a cycling competition in Utah (or something similar--I made that up) and I laughed.  I told my dad, "We may have us a new anchor when we get back from commercial."  When they came back from commercial, Berman was looking very serious and he said, "Any comments by me do not reflect the views of ESPN....The men and women who cycle are dedicated athletes and we are honored to shine light on their sport." (Paraphrasing).  Dad laughed hysterically. My first memory of him--and that was like 1980.
    • Might not have a team without them. Although that probably applies to the Panthers, too.
