Name the RB in Green Bay right now?

I was hard on Williams last year as a runner (that was separate than the contract debacle rants).....he is simply running better this year and he isn't getting much help. He is earning those.....OL still leaving a lot to be desired

First, I would be surprised if he does come back this year and if he does, I seriously doubt he will be very effective. 

 

Not trying to be negative here (I know that is going against the trend on this board), but I have the feeling Stewart's good days are pretty much over. Hope I am wrong.

If Stewie comes back alright, and DWill continues the season like he is looking currently. Trade DWill for a 3rd. Can get a solid RT with that pick to replace bell. Grab Gurley and drop the other piece stewie and can go out and get the LT to replace gross the those 2 contracts gone

I don't think you understand how hard Green Bay has tried to get a quality RB. They drafted Lacy, and he got hurt. They have tried to upgrade their RB position for the last few years. They understand sometimes you HAVE to be able to run the ball. So using that argument only works with folks that don't know GB.

Also, GB is 1-2 and they have arguably the best WR corp in the league. How is that working for them?

Good teams have some semblance of balance.

Also, our O-line looked good today. Against a very good Giant D-line.

Sometimes I think you post your thoughts without actually thinking them through. But hey, to each their own right?

So we trade the 31 yr old RB with the fat contract for a 3rd? Sounds great

At one point in this game he had I believe 17 yards on 6 Carries.. Now last year he would have finished with that same amount of Carries and yards and people would have said that he had a bad game. Last year and in 2011 he would get 6 Carries in a entire game. So far this season, just like he did in college, he has gotten better as the game goes along. He is simply getting more carries. He has had more rushing yards in the 2nd half of each game this year. history shows that the more Carries he gets the more productive he is. He was so gifted early in his career that he could put up gaudy numbers while getting 12 Carries or so. He isn't that type of player anymore, but if he is featured and he gets the Carries Ray Rice, MJD, or any other full-time back gets he can still be one of the best in the league. He showed this last season when #28 went down, but certain people found reasons to not take it seriously. Washed up players just don't run for 200 yards in this league. No matter how bad the defense is. Washed up players don't run 80 yards against a team. Granted that run against Oakland didn't count, but it showed that he still has good explosion. This may be his last year either way, but this is not a surprise to me. I expected this...

i though we took care of dwills cap issue.......other then that i agree the man is a traditional runner not gimmick bs and if you do it, do it right like the triple option we ran a couple of times. The man has still got it, still hope he retires a panther there's alot of other players who deserve more flack for there contract
