If chud will take Stewart's contract off our hands  AND we get Gordon in return I would jump all over that. It's nothing against Stewart I just think him and Deangelo  switching out every carry hurts both of them. Plus we have Tolbert who does the thing that Stewart does, not as well but he gives us the short yardage, receiving and pass blocking Stew does. I don't think Cleveland would do it because A) Gordon lit it up today, they would be stupid to trade their most dangerous WR and B) Stew is out til week 6. But honestly it may work out well with Stew resting for now so that IF we make a playoff push he will have fresh legs for it. If  I could trade a pick for Gordon I would do that also.

D-will is great. I predicted he would have a big year once J Stew was put on PUP.

If we get rid of either I would say Stew. Get another young RB next draft and develop that guy and Barner until D-will is done

The O-line played well today. For the most part. DWill played well today. Coinky dinky? I think not.

Yeah, the money we have tied up in the RB position was a hindrance coming into the year. But you have to blame Hurney for that. Both DWill and Stewy have restructured, they have tried to do their part. Quite bitching about it. It makes you sound petty.

Oh...and yeah it was great having DWill getting the attempts. He still shows his ability. We are 18-4 in games he gets 18 touches or more. Feed the man.

Depends on which aspect...I was wrong about him now being the RB he was most of last year. He looks better IMO than 2011 as well.

Cost factored in.... I don't really care for Double Trouble going forward. Next year, I wouldn't be upset of both were gone

So? I know you're a Stewart guy which is all well and good, but there is nothing wrong with giving Deangelo credit.

Bottom line is this, DWill is a great downhill/cutback runner.  The read option hand off was slowing him down, since he had to run half speed laterally on the fake, and he just isn't quick enough to compensate for that.  Not to mention Cam wasn't keeping any of them, so we basically slowed him down for no reason. The option QB draw with the pitch allows him to get up to speed and be running north and south when he gets the ball, plus the threat of Cam running today was real.

It's a fait accompli.

You need to get over it, it's out of our hands, no amount of complaining about DWill as you have for years will get him off the roster.

Try and enjoy what he brings to the field as he did today.

I think the best is yet to come for DWill. He has always wanted a chance to be a feature back (yet has unselfishly conceded to split carries with a smile on his face).

 

I think he will only continue to open it up, and will have another banner year.

 

Regardless who you like, or how much money they are making DWill is earning his, and doing it against some pretty darn good defenses.
