Sooooo.... DeAngelo Williams......

panthers55, in all honesty it seems like you aren't reading what CRA is saying.

That is because I am not going to debate other points until he admits he is wrong about something. Anything.... He is one of the only posters on this board who refuses to admit he is ever wrong.  He goes on and on changing the topic or his argument to deflect the fact he is or was wrong.  Most of the time I just play along and let him keep changing things until he can save face.

I just want to see if he is going to  do it.  I don't think he will.

It is ridiculous that a grown man can't admit he is wrong.

CRA has bitched and moaned for years about how Williams is over the hill so he can't go back and change his mind. So instead of being wrong, he gives left handed complements which he takes back with the next post. Anyone who can't admit he is wrong about anything won't go back and say you are right. He always has to change the argument so he can save face.

In reality, I moaned that you don't pay 2 RBs....you pick one.

You argued we pay both.

That is where all our spirited debates stem from.

He is determined to "beat me" in this RB talk..... All stems from back before we foolishly paid 2 RBs featured money. I was against it.....he was for it.

Wrong again.  I already said we overpaid Williams as well as Stewart.  I am simply asking you to admit you were wrong about anything and you just can't. I knew this about you now everyone else does as well.

You said Williams is a top 5 RB again.

Then Cecil Shorts is a top 10 WR and Megatron, AJ Green aren't

Again, Williams is running good. Why can't it be just that. Why do we have to suddenly try to act like this RB contract fiasco wasnt so and now he is some dominant top RB

Dude I never said any of that. when I said top 5 I meant in yardage. I thought that was self explanatory, my bad.  As in it's been years since one of our RB's have been one of the NFL leaders in rushing. Yes it's week 3. But it is just math. IF Dwill stays on his current pace he will finish in the top 5 or so in yardage. Why that irritates or seems like a crazy statement to you I don't get. It's like saying that right now Ginn is on pace to catch 8 to 10 TD's. again, what's the problem?

Actually, he is right....you just don't read.

I have said in numerous threads Williams is running well this year despite little help. Better than 2012. Better than 2011. More consistent with his runs. That puts him back more comparable to how he was before RR arrived.

But like the poster said, you don't read.

i haven't read all of this debate but i'll chime in a little

i think everyone agrees both d-will and j-stew were overpaid.

CRA is saying (i think) that 5 mil a year for a top 5 rusher is indeed good value. the problem being we've only played 3 games, the sample size is way too small to draw any accurate conclusions. stew and barner will return, and d-will's role will be reduced. at that point, 5 mil a year is too much.

Let. The. Past. Go. we're talking 2013, right now. Our team is still very much in the hunt, why bitch about contracts right now? If Dwill was making 2.5 mil for the season then would 120 yds be a good game? If deangelo had been in Chicago getting the same carries in the same system is production would be comparable. Period. Forte is not AP or something he's a good back as is Deangelo. It's 2 separate issues. How is us having a top 5 RB again a bad thing? I don't get some of you.

If Barner or Tolbert, or should I dare even mention Stewart put up the same numbers people would blowing them on here. He's a Panther. That's playing well. So how come as a fan that does not make you happy? fugin crazy

Yep. 3 game window is way to small to get on a soapbox and beat your chest.

Especially given the past and the fact we have 2 RBs waiting to return

Hold up a second you Bastard )

Who's cherry picking which guys stats count and who's don't?

That...would...be...you.

what kind of dumbass crushes a starter on there on team for having a good game in a win?

Oh wait a minute I think I know the answer to this one too....

oh no, poorboysrev called me a dumbass over the internet

took him like a whole hundred words or so to do it. then again you're the same guy that fails to realize like half of DeAngelo's carries went for no gain until we were up by more than two scores. We're also still 1-2 with a top 5 leading rusher so there's a little insight into how much it's paying off jimbo

Wrong again. I said that Williams was overpaid because of 2010 and being 2-14.  I said we could pay Stewart and keep Williams if we wanted to but never said we should.  You argued we couldn't sign Stewart because of Wlliams and were wrong once again.  And now you are spinning facts to save face like my 8th grader.

Go ahead I will be glad to change the argument once you admit you are wrong about Williams being a better value than Forte right now....

whats hilarious is two grown men (and im guessing in their 40s or 50s) bitching to each other constantly in numerous threads and rifling off personal attacks on a fuging message board.

it's entertaining as hell, please continue.

I never personally attack 55.

I actually enjoy him. He may not enjoy me, that is for him to claim.....but he actually is one of my favorite posters to interact with.

We strongly disagree on certain things. If I opted to discuss more topics we actually agree on a ton. But that is boring.

And I am younger than that....so that makes it okay right?

Half of Williams carries go for only a few yards anytime he plays. That is why he needs a number of carries.  He is a  home run hitter.  He goes for 1 yard, then 2 yards, then 10 yds.  Anytime you run him between the tackles he is not going to run for a big game particularly with the guard play.  He is an around the end runner.

BTW I thought that the issue for this team was giving up leads late when we can't control the clock  in the 4th quarter.  Seems he did exactly what we needed,
