I'm taking down names. (A Cam Newton Thread)

And how did the rest of the team play? Or sorry, u had your magnifying glass so far up Cam's ass,you couldn't focus on the rest of the team? What else is new.

Some of you Panthers fans are so fugging obvious. Yeah, Cam will never be good enough based on the silly anal game you're playing.

Glad to see Cam is right up there with those other losers like Brady and Peyton. As one if the Analysts stated, all this team needs to do is start winning because Cam is already doing his part as a QB.

you just compared a 3rd year qb to the GOAT. congrats. the defense set the show for this game.....along with that 4th and 1 call. we just call you out on bullshit.

i criticize cam all the time. he can be wildly innaccurate but what you don't get is that these types of qbs don't come along very often. look around the league. it's hard to get a qb that can set u up to win games.

cam gets too much of the blame. you blame cam for losses when if other people step up (hmmm much like this game) and playcalling suits his strenghths instead of his weakness you see what happens. im not up cams ass, i just realize that we are lucky to have drafted him.

I never said that the others were perfect, did I?

The idea that Cam is beyond criticism though, or any other QB, is fuging ridiculous. The guy has played like garbage at times and has played otherworldly at times. Just because someone says something negative about him doesn't mean that they're hating on the team, on the franchise, or any of that other garbage.

don't lump me in that group i've criticized cam when it is deserved. i criticized him most recently for his sideline antics and got blasted for it.

what some of you don't realize is it is fuging HARD to get a qb on your team that puts you in a position to win 9 times out of ten. you said he "makes some mistakes" i called you out on that because all qbs make mistakes.

some people here want perfection. its insane how much we put on this kid.

R u kidding me? That is all  some folks have been doing since he's been part of this team.

Now Smitty??!!! there's a player who is off limits when it comes to criticism.

Stop playing folks the fool. There is  a BIG difference between commenting on Cam doing someing wrong and making ish out of everything he does, which seems to be the norm on this site.

For ex: Cam throw a ball a bit flat into the endzone today but then turned around and threw a beauty. But with some of you, u will intentional pick apart what Cam does and make hay out of it for the entire damn week. Then if the media picks it up you will post it on here and continue to make more hay.

Here I was thinking that looking for defenders with their back turned was an integral element of scanning the post-snap coverage and a pretty significant element to playing the position.

Yes and you throw it right at their back and behind. The WR has to sell it and not go after the ball until the last possible moment. One of two things will happen. Reception or pass interference, unless the WR telegraphs it too early.

Great play by Lafell and Cam on that play

My God, he completed 55% of his passes for 224 yards while benefitting from a nice ground game. He managed the game, basically.

It is clear at this point that "game manager" is what this team wants out of Newton.

Good point, Cam did a good job today, smart game, and was one of his best. Hats off to Cam and the staff for today's improvements.

Yes or no, does Ross have a better shot a making a play on the ball if it is thrown there it was thrown or a couple of yards closer to the sideline?

No one on this forum has ever said or acted like cam is beyond criticism. It's just the cam haters over analyze cam's criticisms or act like bad passes are something exclusive to cam. It's more like people want to put the frustration of the team losing solely on cam. It's not fair to cam as he has done his job many times to put the panthers in a position to win, the team has to win not just cam.

I always laugh at people who try to discredit a QB's play because thr guy he hit was wide open, or similar dumb remarks. Scanning the defense for the one player (or more) who slips up is virtually the entire purpose in reading the defense. Defensivee breakdowns happen almost every play and positive pass plays pretty much never happen when the coverage is perfect.
