Disagree. Jake was a gunslinger from game one against the Jags.

Dan Henning tried to change him into a game manager. Didn't go very well.

I get what you're saying but even jake admitted that he was there to manage the game. Not turn the ball over and hand it off to the backs. Then '04 and 05 happened and they let Jake be who he was. He was def a gun slinger but the system was for him to be a game manager.

Bears game in 05 was the point where I think Henning finally realized he was making a mistake.

 

When we met them in the playoffs, the turnaround was legendary.
