I'm taking down names. (A Cam Newton Thread)

Growl

Of all the cowards who were out in full force last week but are now nowhere to be found. As if it wasn't apparent enough that you are a foolish wart on the anus of our fanbase, your cowardice and sudden disappearance is no surprise to any member of the Huddle that has posted here for any amount of time, and, I assure you, nobody here will forget that you went into hiding when you conveniently manage to pop in next time Cam has a less than stellar performance. Even more gold-worthy, is that a sizable portion of you chimed in in the Gameday thread after the INT, only to disappear for the rest of the day, so there will be no excuses next time. Maybe it's time to just find a new team with a more "conventional" QB for you, or, in carolinarolls's case, a white one- because Cam Newton is here and he's going to be for a long, long, long time.

I called him out last week and congratulated him already in here this week. Both genuine

Your thread is stupid.

Cam Newton has decent game manager numbers this year...nothing more. His completion percentage is still very poor...despite only throwing 3 passes beyond 10 yards in week 1.

His top yardage number this year is 229.

Cam Newton is not keeping the Panthers in every game.

The Carolina defense is keeping the Panthers in every game.

One of the best things about Newton as a QB is that he does not turn the ball over much. It is one of his best attributes.

63% completion is not very poor

And I said this in another thread. For every throw he misses or messes up, he will make another play that 90% of the QBs in this league can't make.

As he improves his passing he will be in damn near ridiculous mode.

But even if he never gets any better (he will) he is still a guy you can win with and build around.

Agree that he does poo that others can't do. If he improves his passing he will be top tier, right now it needs some improvement and as said I think that those areas are 10 yards+ outside of the hashes and short screens. Those areas need improvement for him to get to that ridiculous mode that you, I, and every panther fan wants.

It wasn't horrible, that is too hard. I think it could've been better, you liked it. Three differing opinions and that is okay, right?

i think brandon did a great job of turning at the last moment so the defender didn't know the ball was coming. cam led that pass sufficiently. wasn't great, wasn't bad.

I don't now why some people think that you can't do both. I don't get it, it's never all sunshine and rainbows and never always getting stabbed to death with a butter knife. It's somewhere in between if you are honest with yourself about Cam's game.

The funny thing is Zod is the worst at this. Shows up to infer that all the Panther's ills lie with Cam, no where to be found when they Panthers wins.

In that case it's a big poo sandwich and we all gonna have to take a bite.

Amini Silatolu is the only starter we've added to the offense through the draft since drafting Cam.

Compare that to what Indy has done with Luck, Seattle with Wilson, Cincinnati with Dalton, and on and on.

You know what is funny. Dalton's defense was able to stop Aaron Rogers from scoring a Game winning touchdown.

The Panther's defense cannot stop Freeman, Cutler, or Manuel.

Going into today's game Newton was 21st in the league in completion percentage...and this "high" ranking is due to the fact that he only threw 3 passes beyond 10 yards in week one. That is not hyperbole, that is fact.

He was barely above 50 percent last week.

He was barely above 50 percent THIS week.

He will drop in the league standings after this week...and will probably settle in around 26th or so in the NFL...just where he was at the end of last season.
