4th and long.... and going for it?

The call would not and did not make any difference at all. The fact that there were available points does not dismiss the fact that those points would have made zero difference in the outcome. You do not need a killer mindset or act as if you have one when your opponent is already killed.

It is a big picture question to ponder than what it meant in the final score of one game

Others coaches consistently kick the FG.... So running it in is simply not a realistic defense.

The most troubling part.... would be if that is again, 2011 Ron afraid to kick long field goals and views a punt being the right call. Something to watch for. Perfect chance if it was....to have your teams work on it in a game it wouldn't hurt them

We kicked a 53-yarder early in the game, when the outcome was still in doubt. That directly contradicts your theory.

Yes, it eliminates the counter to my argument he was playing against a FG block.

Main critique was Ron opted out of points staring him in the face.....bc he believes simply handing the ball off was a sign of good faith and charity.

It's the NFL. That isn't a quality I like. Shows at his core....he isn't a step on your throat coach. Which is what the huddle claimed they wanted to see out of him

The Giants weren't sending the house on an early 53-yard field goal. Do you have any understanding of situational football?

Giants used the time late in that game to benefit themselves...work on things.

We are the kings of close games. Good opportunity to work on a getting a FG off when people want to block it.

And teams aren't bringing the house on all these other late game blowout FGs?

And we put our young secondary back out there to get more work considering two of them were in their first ever professional game. Let me be explicitly clear: when you win a game 38-0, there is no warranted criticism in the NFL. It's as simple as that.
