David Newton has still got Rivera's back on that 4th and 1

There is no fuging way you can convince me that depending on a hurt secondary where you can't play a true nickle or dime (because you have a LB covering WR) is a good idea.

How about this people.

Could RON for once put some faith in his offense and young QB??????

How the fug do you build confidence in your young QB (helping him build leadership) if you constantly take the ball out of his hands when it's winning time???

Again he showed more faith in a broken secondary and a defense that wasn't getting much pressure all day.

You mean the secondary that got an interception which a penalty on our star linebacker negated?  That secondary?

Or how about the fact that if you fail to get the 4th down conversion, you're depending on that same secondary but making their job even harder/

Yeesh

how so...

we didn't go for it and...

well we lost

Its factual history now so...

How 'factual' is your theory that we definitely would have won otherwise?

You do realize going for it doesn't guarantee we'd have gotten it, right?

And had we gotten the conversion, who says we don't fumble or get picked on the next play anyway.

The whole idea that any of that is guaranteed is just silly.

That's just as silly.

Kuechly doesn't have his hand in the wrong spot on the interception play...we win.

Josh Norman doesn't act like a blithering idiot on the final play...we win.

Any number of other options for someone on defense to make a play happens...we win.

That play guaranteed nothing.

How many fuging times can we say this??

"If this didn't happen or that didn't happen"??

What about the 4 or 5 other plays where it look easy dumping it off and getting out of bounds??

Having no secondary could be the reason for that.

Plus no blitzing no CB playing up on the WR. Just another prevent.

Ron played it safe with the defense like he always does.

Fumble or throw a pick???

You need some rest buddy..we would have kneeled out the last 3 downs.

You know what Scot.

I would agree with you if we were so injured on the OLine that we needed to use WRs and RBs to line up in the trenches.

But since it was the other way around it was a dumb fuging decision by Ron.

Most of the catches on that drive were by running backs that would not be the responsibility of the secondary.

They put the ball in the playmaker's hands on a critical 4th and 1 last year and had it blow up in their face.

That's not to say they should never try it again mind you, but people act like that's a guaranteed first down. It's not, especially not behind the OL we have now.

You totally ignored half of my post. It's 3rd down and five yards to go and your on your opponents 21 yard line. You need a first down to win the game. Are you telling me most coaches wouldn't have thrown for that first down?

So the Steve Johnson catch wouldn't have been covered by a DB if we had a secondary??

Would Beason even be in the game if we would have had enough DB to play???

So the fact we couldn't play a Nickle or Dime defense didn't matter.

Are you fuging serious???

. That in itself is tricky also because the last thing you want yo do is take a sack, throw a pick or pick 6, or a sack fumble. We had so much trouble protecting Cam that I am not sure that would have been the best idea either.

I am not trying to totally discount your point because that is a valid point.

But I will go back to my original point. If you can't stop a rookie QB from driving 80 yards in 90 seconds with no timeouts you don't deserve to win.

I'm saying that about 90% of that drive had nothing to do with our secondary. They were check downs to their RBs.

And Teeray since you keep saying this bullshit over and over about a lot of passes going to Rbs.

No more incomplete passes went to RB. Stevie Johnson caught 3 balls and cause the pass interference.

Also do you think it would have been better to have a DB covering the RB instead of Beason?? But that couldn't happen because we didn't have any more.
