Cam has his things he need to work on I just hate when people say he can't read a defense and he's just a big guy with a strong arm. That's crazy. If that was the case defenses should have kept him from breaking records.

its funny how they turn on you when they can't stand the reality. meanwhile give passes to ones that are actually at fault. Again, everyone hates the Panthers! This has ALWAYS been the issue, cam joined the foundation of our hate. This sucks for him because he could actually be the best QB we've had with some corrections.

Well you could have hang out at Rival Central (on falconslife). You guys are not looking soo hot this year. And your most important acquisition this offseason is injured.

I know that feeling. Every fanbase has idiots. You guys say you have shitty fanbase, try and read TATF every once and a while. You'll notice you aren't as bad as you think.

I read over there a lot that is why I noticed who you were. Losing brings out the worst in the fan base lol.

That's the thing, we don't even lose that much in the regular season and our fanbase still bitches about it. I don't care for someone ripping us for our playoff performance, because we suck in the POs, but even after regular season losses we have people wanting to fire everyone. It's pathetic really.

The thing that crushes your pathetic argument is his questionable mechanics, leadership, accuracy, and this new bullshit about Cam's being unable to read a defense has got us into position to win all of the games in his career except two.  Those were the Giants game and the Titans game.  Find a player who consistently puts us in a position to lose like Captain Munnerlyn or Byron Bell.  Start a few threads on that.

 

 

 

I have repeatedly said that this is possibly Gettlemen's perspective--not my own.  SO when you call it my argument in a childish temper tantrum, I see that you seem prone to missing points.  Emotion fogs the brain.  Still, since you seem poised for a fight, here you go:

"Almost winning games--The stuff of Champions---"  Do you realize that over 70% of NFL games are decided by a TD or less?  The good, effective QBs find a way to win them--that is common sense.  I cannot believe you want to attack criticism of the QB with a statement about how he almost wins games.

 

Answer (truthfully) these questions:

 

1. Are Cam's mechanics sound?

2. Is he considered a strong leader?

3. Is he considered an accurate passer?

4.  Has he recently been criticized for holding onto the ball too long, missing open WRs, and locking onto Smitty?

 

ANSWER KEY:

 

No.  He throws off his back foot a lot.

No.  Ask Thomas Davis. Cam is getting better, but you are talking about the past.

No. He is not accurate by NFL standards.   He misses too many open people with unforced bad throws.

Yes. 

 

If you answered truthfully, then could it be possible that we won those games we didn't if a few yes answers were in the top three?  Is it possible the GM will look at the QB production that way?  Sure he will. 

 

Get mad if you want, but you have not seen Dave Gettlemen yet.  If Cam does not come around, I do not expect Gettlemen to care how many games he almost won.  I promise that.  I am a Panther fan and I want Cam to do well, but what I want or think does not matter.  You either.

meh... we have had many dropped balls, questionable routes, far too many O-line collapses, lack of run ability to really blame the QB. All those flaws are the things that make him one dimensional. actually any QB. Therefore the coaching and apparently the budget is forcing us to deal with what we have. On a side not, if I'm RR and likely on way out, why would I fix all these problems at this point? The issues are bigger than Cam Newton himself. I'm not at all saying he is flawless but its not like he's fumbling at the 7 yard line when on course to win the game, dropping pass, lightly breaded covering WRS and making them look good, running out of bounds on ST, collecting unsportsman like conduct penalties that destroy momentum, and sure not calling ridiculous plays on 3rd and short. Not to mention conservative game play which contradicts the aggressive nature that put us in position to close the game. So at the end of the day, yes those around him have done far more to take the blame of why we are sucking thus far right now.

 

We do, but all teams have these problems too.  I am just saying that it seems to me that there is enough evidence that suggests that DG is preparing for life after Rivera.  New coach, new system, and Cam needs to be a double threat (that is my opinion).Gettlemen has his own agenda and wants his own coach and possibly, that coach will want his own QB.

 

It is possibly DG loves Cam.  But nobody wants to hear the other side.

 

Personally, I am praying the light comes on for Cam and he can develop into an elite QB.  However, it has not happened yet.

Certainly RR is out and Shula will catch a ride with him. I understand the theory but the reality is Cam is not Josh Freeman. O-line help would certainly help him. Our coaching sucks. At the end of the day JR loves cam, so he's here for a while unless he goes Jake within the next 6 years.

You will see that panther fans will all say they want cam to be great and succeed. Just as I do. All this fighting about cam with this and that is growing old. It's not all his fault. But he needs to take his share of blame.

I'm clearly one of the guys who is very critical of cam. But I want the guy to be good and win and be successful. Bc I'm a panther fan first and foremost and our success mainly relies in his hands.

But anyways, here's to hoping for a win tommorrow
