Battle of the trenches

Come Sunday, the team that wins the trenches will win the game. We really need monsters inc to dominate their oline. They need constant pressure on Eli. We need to make them one dimensional and not let the establish the run. Our depleted secondary will need some help. Pressure will force Eli to throw up some gimmes.

Now on the flip side. Our oline needs to get it together. With JPP and tuck coming to town, they need to stand their ground. We can't give their line a career day or it will get ugly quick. That being said, we need some quick plays to help the oline out.

We will win tomorrow! Go panthers

If Cam is indeed pressing and, our O-line is struggling in pass pro, and our WRs are having a hard time getting open...

How about this as a novel concept, let's lean on the running game more. Wear down the d-line. Take some of the load off of Cam.

Use Cam in short yardage situation. Get him some easy throws to get his confidence going and allow him to get in a rhythm.

Just a thought.

My thoughts exactly. Not sure why we didn't stick with the Seattle game plan in the Buffalo game anyways.

Because it scored 7 points.

Yeah, but after watching Seattle's defense against the 49ers, I can't help to think they played a roll in that.

I thought we moved the ball pretty well in that game, all things considered. Definitely better than we did in the Bills game.

If only we could hit on some of those playaction passes going forward, I have no problem with that game plan.

To be honest, that's what we practiced all offseason, and that's who we are as a Offense.

We can't protect Cam long enough to hit a 5 or 7 step drop pass. The only way we're going to have the time to go down the field is via PA.

I disagree our offense has become dysfunctional and not effective in the traditional sense. Were limiting cam and not leting him do what he does best and the offense is suffering as a result. We dont have the peices in place to run the pro style offense shula would like to run. Unleash cam and let's get back to putting points on the board. I would kill to have chud calling the shots again over this white bread offense were running now.

It's hard to establish a running game when your offensive line is as bad as ours is.

We scored over 3 times as many points in the Bills game than we did in the Seahawks game.

Because it scored 7 points.

Who gives a poo how many points we score? I just want to be in the best position to be successful.

We didn't score more than 7 because we never had good field position against a good defense, and when we did have chances to score we had drops or turnovers.

Against a normal defense with better field position and less turnovers or drops we will score more.

It would seem that the coaching staff which you so adamantly defend agreed with a sizable number of posters here in that two or three mistakes in a game don't determine the overall effectiveness of a gameplan, and it'd frankly be tough to find anyone dumb enough to believe that it does. Unless you believe that only applies to Cam of course.

A sound offensive approach isn't held back by a couple of errors. We had poor offensive showings both weeks, the difference is that the aggressive one netted us 23 points while the conservative one landed us 7.
