Are Cam and Rivera adjoined at the hip?

Everyone keeps saying "it has only been two games!" Yet, we've had going in two and half years to see what he's capable of. This isn't something new.

You say "see what he's capable of" like he hasn't had the best first two years statistically for a quarterback ever.

Hey, we wouldn't want facts to get in the way of things though.

Yeah because other teams in the league are also ready to move on from their QB's after week 2. I suppose that our upcoming opponent is considering moving on from Eli after he's thrown 7 INT's right? This is just pure idiocy.

Let's see, Eli has 2 rings and is a proven commodity.  You want to compare?   We are talking about the possibility Gettlemen decides to go in a different direction--very possible.  I am sorry that your mind is too closed to consider that.

If Cam's contract expired right now, would you pay him what Eli is making?  If you would, I have to ask-is this you, Marty Hurney?

Cam newton is not guaranteed any more than anyone else. I do not see how some think he is beyond criticism, as if his greatness has been confirmed. It has not. I still want him to become great, but this thread was about Gettlemen's timetable, not any poster on here-some of you need to stop acting as if you have all the answers and listen for a change.

So we don't have all the answers but we're supposed to blindly listen to you even though you don't have the answers either? Sounds legit to me guys. MHS has spoken, we better pack it in now. Go ahead and end the thread.

All I read was "double standard" over and over and over.

Funny you are accusing others of being close minded, definition of a hypocrite right there. JR already said Cam is the last QB he drafts. We have until at least next year before we need to begin considering how much Cam gets.

You are the one calling people out for not agreeing with you.  I simply said it was possible that Gettlemen may go another direction. That is how this thing works, and MHS didn't invent that concept.

You just cannot handle anyone disagreeing with you.  Maybe we should talk again in a few years.

Cam like every other player has to show improvement in his decisions and accuracy.  Its one thing for a wr to drop a well thrown ball but to throw 6ft over their heads or in the dirt two yards in front of them makes a poor QB.

Damn, just damn... some of y'all just can't get over the fact that Cam makes some bad throws.

JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER QUARTERBACK IN THE DAMN NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

Cam just isn't allowed, I guess.

Ah so it's all because I simply "don't agree with you", and "can't handle it". That's funny.

It couldn't possibly be because you are talking out of your ass and getting called on it.

Excuse me, everybody knows Cam Newton is the only quarterback to ever overthrow a receiver or make a mistake.

  How gullible are you?

That comment was to show confidence in his (hopefully) franchise QB.  Do you really think an owner would lock himself into an unproven QB by making a statement that he could not later retract?  No, wait, we should all take that statement literally and realize that, since JR made that statement, that we are stuck with Cam no matter how he plays.   What?

By the way, JR also promised a Super Bowl victory in 10 years.  Did you buy tickets when he said that?

True but G-man's experience with Eli should help him in realizing that he should ignore fan and media noise.

Eli in his 4th season threw 20 INTs played terrible in some key games. Fans were booing him and the NY Post plastered his face on the front page with the headline "Eli the Terrible"

He the went on to win the Super Bowl that same year.

That was Eli's 4th season. We are only two games into Cams third and the birds are already chirping.

Patience has always been the key to Cams development as with any young QB. It isn't like he has been defunct as a QB he just hasn't been perfect.

He will be fine I just hope we have the patience as a fan base and franchise to see it through. Judging by some of these threads I am starting to have my doubts

So basically you have no argument for that, and are attempting to shoot holes in it by calling him a liar.

Makes sense.
