Manuel has not been impressive. He plays like a rookie who isn't very good. Your team is just is playing good around him. Goes back to the team theme.

His great moxie drive? Nah, Rivera's long history of giving those games away proves what happened....Carolina just gave it to Buffalo much more so than Buffalo winning it late.

 

 

You guys got beat by a better team.  Make any excuse you want including trying to blame it on the holding call, but you got beat.

 

Ive said it before- the Bills are my team but I have ties to Carolina, have followed the Panthers through the years and would like to see the Panthers do well - the year you guys went to the superbowl and almost beat the Pats ass was a huge let down for me. I have no agenda here other than contributing on a message board and exchanging ideas with  fellow fans.

I have said from day one that Cam is gonna be his own QB in this league. He cant copy everyone else, if you try to make him into the "Manning-Brady standard" your just setting him up for failure.

You know why people bash cam instead of the team?  Because fans here defend him all the time for better or worse.  You did it with Jake and know you are doing it with Cam.  Yes football is a team sport so stop acting like Cam cant make mistakes.  He is, so is a lot of players on the team.

People have been bashing him since before we even drafted him. Nothing has changed.

Those people didn't want him drafted in the first place. That's where it comes from.

The difference is that most of us are not saying Cam doesn't make mistakes. Most of us aren't saying he can't improve on some things.

The thing that most of us are saying is that some of our fans and a lot of people in the media are being overly critical of Cam and seem to have some unrealistic expectation of what Cam should be demanded to achieve in order to satisfy them.

And Jake was a very good QB all the way until.he wasn't.

There's nothing wrong with Cam. He just has to go back to the basics and have fun out there. You will never succeed in nothing at life if your not having fun. Forget the records, and forget the stats. Just loosen up and have fun and everything will fall in place. That's something no coaching can teach

I don't think that'll ever be the case and I don't think Carr was ruined.  He was just a mediocre to bad QB that was drafted way too high.  

 

I think Cam can handle the pressure.  He just needs to be himself.  We need to win games based on his skill set and not force a style of play on him.  If his skill set expands then we change things up.  

 

Read a little of his story.  The Texan coaches never taught him to read defenses.  They coached him to just throw to the spot where the play was designed to go.

 

Can you imagine an NFL quarterback trying to be successful without knowing how to read a defense?

 

 

You know what's funny, a few weeks ago Cam commented about how Dorsey was the first person to teach him how to watch tape of the opponent  :o so I'm not sure that losing Shula is the problem... 

 

I think it goes back to what Smitty was saying: Cam is pressing - all of the things Cosell mentions could easily be the result of a young QB who is pressing right now instead of letting it come to him.  

 

See, knowing what happened to Carr, that's exactly the kind of thing I don't want to hear :(

Cam had a 70% completion rating against Seattle, and I believe I read that it was over 80% if you exclude drops.

Of course he was checking down pretty much every play.

Oh I see the goalposts shift when actual statistic evidence is brought up. He's still like totally inaccurate despite 70% completion, because they have to be SgtJ00 approved passes.
