Firing your coach midseason

lame.

Better draft pick? the first 4 picks of the draft are probably going to be 3 QBs and Clowney.

I'll take 6 wins and drafting 8,9,10. We still will be able to fill one of our needs.

Then we've got a shot swing a trade and get a haul like the Rams did. Or a shot at Clowney. Or a shot at a tackle that moves up unexpectedly--I'd take Eric Fisher right now.

If I can't have wins, I want options.

I see what your saying...but assuming Bridgewater, Hundley, Marriotta go 1-2-3....if we pick fourth I would rather make a trade and load up on picks than take Clowney. It's going to be hard to pass on Clowney though. It would save us from shelling out a massive contract to Hardy.

I think Clowney, just like Harrison Barnes, is going to be a much better pro than college player.

The real blame is JR (bargain hunting at the dollar general, to include our HC that was passed over 9 other times, hmmm) and "Hurney magik", this is Gettleman's 1st year in this mess (he gets a pass this year).

If you are gonna use the RR was passed over 9 times and therefore we shouldn't of hired him....

Why not use that same logic on Gettlemen. People wouldn't even interview him.

RR is an X's and O's guy and plays it by the book...he knows all the right calls. But he makes that calls under the assumption he has players than can play. That is his ultimate flaw. If every season his roster didn't have HUGE GLARING HOLES.....he wins every season IMO.

He can't adjust and get away from textbooks calls and account for the fact he has to gamble bc his guys simply can't get it done

I actually feel bad for him, sucks to have your dream shattered.I know it needs to be done at this point and that's a fact.He will be paid and I am sure he will be back in the league very soon as a defensive coordinator. He will never get another shot at OC and that is understandable.

May I just point out the small detail that we haven't lost to the 0-2 Giants yet. The team seemed to rally last year around the coach at the end of the season as they realized it was do or die for him. Maybe the light will go off earlier in the season this year.

Rivera's job has been on the line since the season started.
