Troubling Beason stat

My question is, why is he starting?

If he's not ready to play, why should the rest of the team be penalized? It's a production business. He may be the best human being out of the 53 and a guy we all root for but that doesn't mean he should play.

Ron did the same thing last year until Jon finally had to pack it in. If Jon had been able to struggle through the year, we sure wouldn't have had the defensive ROY.

My guess: He's starting because of who he used to be, not who he is.

Hate it because he was one of the best defenders on the team when he was healthy.

My confidence that he'll ever be that again is...thin :(

That's the conclusion I reached as well.

I just hope Ron isn't doing it because he's popular with his teammates. That kind of decision will come back to haunt you.

I honestly think it's time for the trading block. Beason is one of my favorite players ever, but when you look around the league, teams like the Giants who are currently starting Dan Connor's backup at MLB could use him a lot more than we could.

Though you guys do realize this, and TD's age, means we'll be spending more high round picks at linebacker in the coming years, right?

Beason is most likely afraid to go 100%. Happens a lot after injuries. But TD can tak him through it. TD seems to be going full motor.

Beason's coming off of two injuries that are tougher to recover from than ACL tears. It might not be a question of pushing himself, it could very well be that he has lost a few steps

This has nothing to do with "football shape" or "conditioning" or missing 2 years of football.

The man has no (and I mean zero) cartilage in his God damn knee. Micro fracture surgery attempts to mimic cartilage with rotten blood clots sliding around in your knee.  It is voodoo at best.

He is done.  I hate it too, but let it go.  He will not play well here and he is not going to another team and "ball out" at the MLB position.

He is a liability and a drain on our cap and you can hate on me all you want, but that, is the truth.

Meh plenty of basketball players had the surgery more than once and recovered. One being Kenyon Martin who still had the jumping ability like he was still young after having surgery on BOTH knees

It's definitely about conditioning as well as Beason never being the best in coverage anyway

Beastson, I am not a Doctor.  I have NOOOOO medical training or education whatsoever and I have no beef with you, but...

Anyone with a computer can Google micro fracture and immediately see that it's the lottery at best.

I wish you were right but the only Doctor friend I have said it was a practical impossibility for Beason to ever regain normality in that leg in every-day mundane situations, much less playing in the NFL.

Spend 30 minutes researching it and come back and tell me I am wrong.

Beason was the man but unfortunately an ACL and MF ain't the same with today's tech.

It's Ron Rivera we're talking about here. I'm sure he's keeping in beason not from a doing what's best for the team perspective but doing it for what's best for beason's pride. I think that's a wrong way to coach. Beason should not be starting.

Beason is a part of that Hurney era that needs to be wiped clean from this roster. Sorry. He's a weak link now

The losing close games and blowing late leads has got to end. Starts with removing Rivera and followed by cleaning up this roster
