SI's Top 100 NBA players

I wanna see more of Kemba overtaking game and playing like a franchise player befor Ima let some stats prove me other wise. Stats not my thing. You know that. I need performance of the court. That's just my opinion.

Alright but look at what he had to work with in 2011-12 and 2012-13: hot garbage and just a couple of NBA-caliber players.

As a PG, you need guys around you to be able to be a franchise player, especially considering his haters say he's not a good distributor. News flash to them: It's really tough to get 9 apg when you're tossing it off to Byron Mullens and Bismack Biyombo down low.

Kemba was left with the tough position of HAVING to score because no one but he and Henderson could put the ball in the hoop, so he had to take shots, otherwise you'd be seeing a lot of 86-57 losses. With a weapon to get the ball to in the post, Kemba will have two positives: Defenses won't be able to focus all their efforts on him, and he'll be able to run the pick and roll better.

Just having Jefferson and Zeller on the roster makes Kemba a top 75 player, because his numbers were top 100 with scrubs. He's only going to get better with more weapons.

Imagine Cam right now. Then imagine Cam if he had somebody like Roddy White or Andre Johnson, plus a promising rookie like Tyler Eifert, to throw to. Would only make him better. It's the same case with KW.

Welp, this is the year for him to prove it. He's going into his 3rd year with an improved Henderson, more experienced MKG, all around player in Cody Zeller, and an offensively "Big" in Jefferson. Kemba must show major improvements and especially with his vision (APG). I love the kid and was pumped when we drafted him. He just hasnt shown enough leadership and that this team is his.

I wanna see Kemba overtaking this team and opening up the offense. We have the players to do it now. I dont want to see Kemba looking like just another "role player". As of right now, he's on the same level as a Brandon Knight. I want to see him evolve his game into a Jrue Holiday; I get they're different type of PG.

MKG sucks. If any Bobcat needs to prove he's good, it's him. Not Kemba. Also, Kemba is >>>>> Knight and is as good as Holiday already. He is also referred to as THE leader of the team by Cho, Jefferson and Zeller. Their opinions speak volumes.

Just for kicks:

Knight in 2012-13: 13.3 ppg, 4 apg, 12.04 PER

Holiday in 2012-13: 17.7 ppg, 8 apg (with MUCH better players), 16.74

Walker in 2012-13: 17.7 ppg, 5.7 apg, 18.86 PER

He just blows Knight out of the water. Knight can barely keep a starting job.

You basically did the NBA equivalent of saying Cam Newton is on the same level as Christian Ponder.

Like I said, Im not a fan of stats.

And Cam is exactly on the same level as Ponder in "W/L". Cam doesnt make his offense any better than what Ponder is giving the Vikes. Those two just cant win games. You see too many mental errors with both of them.

Walker had not shown that he can make this team any more relevant than what Knight did with Detriot the last two years. Though, I have not quit in Kemba. He has the pieces to have a major improved upcoming season.

We could probably go on like this for the rest of the season.

Well the thing about stats is that they are a correlation of what happens on the court. You have to play on the court to get stats.... To be in the top 50 in Per among all players and the top 10 in PG's is based off of his play on the court and as you would say it, taking over games...

That's all performance on the court....

Stats are just not my thing. I like the "PPG", "APG", and "RBP" parts a little bit, but I dont pay attention to the other little stats.

As much as I like the kid, I'm not going to act like he's a top 50 players. He still have areas in his game that he needs to improve on and that is being able to spread the ball around. I hope that he can drastically improve that now with the additions of two bigs: Al and Cody.

Kemba is just not there yet with the likes of a Jrue Holiday (dont care what the stats say) or John Wall. For example, Wall had little play makers to work with in his first two seasons, but was still able to managed 16.4/8.3 (2010) and 16.3/8.0 (2011).
