Wait, is this the Giants forum or the Panthers forum?

The Carolina Panthers have become so proficient at losing football games that a realization birthed out of this thread is quite literally tempting me to rewrite my entire psychological approach to viewing Panthers games this season (perhaps as a coping mechanism.)

Instead of pulling for the team to win, I can begin the process of treating each loss as a win. Trash talking other down on their luck teams that my team will be the superior loser, given our ability to craft ingenious ways of doing so. The ultimate goal of course would be out better overall position long term, with the weekly waiting process leading up to the game being eager to see which possible ways this team can manufacture losses, resulting in rather than hurt and anger from those inexplicable moments leading to defeat, but extreme laughter and "oh wow! that was incredible how they managed it this time!"

It seems silly, but after thinking about it for a time, that I may actually be able to rewrite my natural hardwiring as a fan to pull for wins and instead pull for the unbelievable "exciting" moments that result in the opposite of wins. I actually think I can do it, and the only obstacle will be facing good teams whose fanbases refuse to play ball when it comes to arguing whether their team will be better at losing than us.

It's not that I'm pulling for the loss itself, it's that I would simply be pulling for us to do what we do best and in turn not have to experience let down and disappointment week after week, season after season. This way, what I look forward to, will actually happen.
