This video shows DJ Moore pointing out to Norman where he should cover

Wow, if only we had some sort of person in this organization who could have called a timeout before the most important play of the game to make sure all the players were on the same page and had the right mindset. That kind of thing could eliminate these kinds of excuses. Heck, we could even have the defense take a look at what the offense is doing and then take some time to talk it over. We could call this person the Head Honcho, or Head Man, or something like that.

Again, why would he call a timeout?

They just ran that play against us.....and you could clearly see your DB recognize the play EARLY and alert his fellow DB of the exact play.

You call a timeout they change the play and his team clearly figured it out.

Calling a timeout would have been dumb IMO from a coaching standpoint. Knowing exactly what an offense is going to do is what you want. Norman just sucked

You call a timeout so you can say, "Hey Norman, you understand what you're supposed to do in this situation, right? You're switching if they run this play. No trying to be a hero, just do your job." Then, at the very least, there's no 'miscommunication' excuse.

But again, you could tell visually the play was identified very early and he was told.

Carolina D knew the offensive play call. That is a perfect scenario.

Calling a timeout screws it up. Buffalo can then change the play.

Again last year we didn't lose a game after Norman was benched an would have won this one if Norman was on the sidelines.

Just think about this: Instead of letting your 6'5 250lb quarterback get a first down and win the game. You chose to send Josh Norman back on the field

Yep....the moment he stepped on the field EJ went after him. Norman has some horrible tape out there for opponents to salivate over.

Their offense just drove the length of the field on us in a 1.5 minutes. The defense was gassed and reeling from going from thinking they ended the game with an interception to a ticky-tack PI being called. Josh Norman had been targetted and exploited all day. So many reasons to call a timeout there. That play couldn't have gone much worse than it did and it's the head coach's job to know what is best for his team and when. Ron Rivera has no feel for the game. Time and again he shows a lack of instinct and disconnect with what is happening on the field and constantly makes the wrong decisions in every situation imaginable. The team clearly needed a timeout based on what happened.

Again, they knew the play.... and at the 2 were no longer playing a prevent inspired D.

If Norman did what he was told....we likely win that game. He wouldn't of been in space and it wasnt a slant. He can jump and defend that route.

Blame Rivera for everything he did to lose us that game. He deserves it.

Last play.....Norman simply could of won us that game. He sucks though. Call a timeout and they attack him with a new play the D likely doesn't know what is coming.....which is worse odds of stopping it

We'll have to agree to disagree. I understand what you're saying, but it's Rivera's job to know his team and know his players. He should know how much Norman sucks and what his tendencies are. If Norman's a player who needs a little extra coaching before a big play to keep him on track, which he clearly is, then Rivera needs to do that and not rely on somebody who is unreliable at either a.) understanding his assignments or b.) doing his job. Rivera keeps telling us the problem is "execution", so why would he think that the team will "execute" on this particular play more than others? The problem isn't diagnosing plays, it's execution, at least from the horse's mouth. Take a timeout, rely on guys like Kuechly and Moore/whoever to diagnose the play, and make sure everybody is on the same page execution-wise.
