Officially boycotting the Panthers (Boycott Ended 11/11/2013)

I don't want to ban you. But you are trying to boycott the Panthers.

Visiting this site indirectly helps the Panthers revenue. Watching the games on tv indirectly helps the Panthers revenue.

If you are going to really boycott them, you need to not watch, listen, or read anything panthers as they are all connected.

Let it be clear that my intention is not "dropping" the team.  I still want the best for the franchise and the Panthers players and fans.  I am still a fan of the team and will continue to follow them in every media aspect that I can.  However, I am done attending games.  I am done buying jerseys.  I am done going out of my way to spend money on this franchise until Mr. Richardson proves that he is as dedicated as his fans.

Controversy does not hurt your ratings/site visits.

If we lose enough I might sell my PSLs or the season tickets anyway. It is a lot of time and money going to games and eventually it would get too depressing doing the zombie walk out of BofA every other Sunday.

I'm looking forward to next Sunday but at the same time the thought of 0-3 fills me with dread. That would likely be the end of the season. Panther news would center around who the next coach is and draft picks. In September.

Nothing serious then. :)

Will you join back if the team win the next game?

If by some miracle, Ron Rivera proves that it was just chance that he is 2-14 in games decided by a score.  If it is just statistical smoke a mirrors that he has blown countless 4th quarter leads.  If I am completely wrong in my assessment of this coaching staff and it turns out that Rivera is the best man for the job, not a cheap alternative to a real coach.  I will eat the biggest fuggin crow you can serve me.

However, I am not wrong.  The record doesn't lie.  Our coaching staff is incompetent.

In the past i have certainlly read the same things about Fox..

I am still waiting for a real answer btw, yes or no?

I must have misunderstood your question because I thought I addressed it.  "Will you join back"  I am not going anywhere.  I am just done spending my money on this team.  It may seem like a bigger issue for me.  As a transplant to Houston, I have to purchase plane tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, etc.  to come see a game.  It is a large financial investment for me to attend and support the Panthers.  It is that financial investment that I am boycotting.

So, no.  A victory against the Giants will not change my mind.  But as I stated previously, if I am completely wrong about Rivera/Shula and they are a competent coaching staff who turns this team around, I will "eat crow" (humiliation by admitting wrongfulness, or having been proven wrong after taking a strong position).

Dont be pussies. There for good and bad. Wearing my 2012 draft cap this morning.

If you cant stand by your team durring the complete poo times, you dont deserve to be there if we put it all together.

This team still has the hurney disease. Its an opportunity to cut that bad poo out and truly build a contender. Patience is a virtue and I firmly belive that.

I believe in never giving up in things you truly care about. Stfu and take the heat for your team. At least be proud in your detication. I cant stand fugs who bounce when poo gets tough.

I do not understand how my post can be so misconstrued.  What I am doing IMHO is for the good of the team.  I am not abandoning my team.

im pretty sure 90% of the people on this message board are with you, myself included. i'll never stop rooting for this team but i get what leeroy is saying, i'm not buying anything panthers related until this franchise gets their act together. but it wont do much. opposing teams fans will still buy tickets and overflow BOA. parents will still buy their children cam and keek jerseys.

the worst part is it's only two games in and already feels like it's over. and i feel like i'm one of the more positive people on this board, and it's depressing.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Albert Einstein

Not that it matters but this is not the definition of insanity nor was it said by Albert Einstein. The earliest known occurrence, and probable origin is from a 1981 text from Narcotics Anonymous, but carry on panthers suck....boycott boycott boycott.

I understand what Leroy is saying and honestly I feel the same way.

I went to the opener last week... spent about $50 on gas, $110 on tickets, $40 on food at the stadium, etc...  not doing that again this season.

I'll absolutely root for the Panthers.  I hope that somehow, someway can pull this season out of the toilet... but I agree, if you're doing the same thing over and over again and expect something different to happen, you're just an idiot.

Last week, DeAngelo fumbled the ball when we had a chance to win.  I defended the coaching in that game.

This week, we had some ups and downs with the players.  Cam looked downright awful at times, and the Defense did not rise to the standard they set in the preseason.

However, this week was more about the coaching, more specifically about AGAIN having the chance to put a game away and choosing not to.  The EXACT same thing that led to more than a few losses last season.

I'm ready to get a coaching staff in here that will let the players play.  Yes, players will make mistakes, but that's why we watch this game is it not?

I'd much, much rather see the players be given a chance to win it and blow it than tuck our tails between our legs and hope that we can not lose it...
