if its not one thing its the next with this team it feels like.... sure rivera had some bonehead decisions as usual, but lets face it, cam missed so many fuging big plays yesterday. might be the worst ive seen cam play ... not stats wise but as far as missing wide open receivers.

 

Ginn was wide open all day and should of had 150 yds and 2-3 td's . yet cam targets smitty 20 times when he had tight coverage all game ... ughh

How can we call it overly conservative when Newton dropbacks 37 times and we try alot of deep passing? The throws were there.

You can still be ineffective at playcalling and not be playing conservative ball. We consistently tried to attack there secondary downfield, Newton dropbacked over forty times with most of them not being short or easy conservative throws.

I don't see how this game plan can be considered conservative.

BTW what are you complaining about Zod? We scored 23 points. That wins a lot of games. The goal is to score points. Field position doesn't matter.

How many good offensive coordinators would have signed with the Panthers knowing that Rivera was on the 'hot seat', and more than likely the Panthers only offered a 1-year contract?

DG was forced to keep Hurney's coach, and only hire coaches on 1 year deals.  

 

This means the owner fully expects for RR to be fired at the end of the season, or sometime during.

 

This also means that JR has set up 2 HC's to be in lame duck years over the last 4 years.

but Davidson knew how to disguise o line problems. think back to the end of 2009, when Jordan Gross was still good. He got injured and missed about the last half of the season. The playcalling involved a lotl more rolling pockets and Matt Moore looked like a pro bowler as a result

we can win with Shula at OC, although he didn't call the greatest two first games but we could have gotten a better OC,but i guess we were too cheap,my only beef with shula is to call some plays that downplay our weakness but maximize our strengths and speed it up a little, also give cam some audibles.......besides that i can't really fault the man,if cam doesn't throw that int and connects a little bit more with the deep ball we would have scalped the bills and at least put up 35, offensive would look a whole lot better if they got rid of Byron Bell sorry ass

Foxy was a defensive guy here and now in Denver. He didn't lack an offensive game while he was here and def ain't lacking one with Peyton.

I highly doubt Rivera got on the headset and was like "woah slow it down cowboy" after they scored. Shula had a gameplan, and Rivera stuck with it. The sideline reporter at halftime flat out said she spoke with Rivera and he said they were sticking to the gameplan in the second half but "have to execute better."

 

Which apparently all they know how to do.  I can't recall a single time in the past three years where the Panthers made adjustments based on what the opponent was actually doing.

Uh San Fran only scored 3 pts against Seattle and Brady looked like poo against the bills.

If Dwill doesn't fumble maybe we win the game. Or maybe the defense gives up another late td.

If the defense gets a stop at the end of the bills hey we win again.

My problem with this team is that instead of getting Cam some help. They build the defense up. So I don't want to hear they only got fgs and not tds. That's play calling and lack of talent mainly on the offensive line.

It all falls down on Rivera. He wanted the defense built up he said it from day 1 he would stick to what he knows and thats all he knows is defense. The best offensive mind we have is Shula?? That's not going to get it done. Rivera wanted defense so the defense needs to get it done at the end of games.

 

They absolutely have to get it done.  Rivera is going to put it in their hands no matter what their track record has been during his tenure.  I just hope while he is here, they will prove him right or re-create whatever they are doing in practice to make him have so much confidence in them.

when there are too many reasons to single out why you are losing, its time to single out the one thing that's the real reason - coaching.

 

A great coach has a mixture of all the things it takes to win.  Our players seem undisciplined, lack focus, urgency, and passion.  That is a direct result of Rivera.  Ditto,there are too many reasons.
