We had Seattle dead to rights even with our offense in handcuffs by the coaches. We had Buffalo set up to take blowout if the coaches could just get out of the way. Last year we took Atlanta, Redskins head on and won.

We have the talent guys. We have been in almost every game under Rivera up until the end. We all know this.

You give Belicheck, Harbaugh, even Sean Payton's pill

popping ass the keys to our team and they win a

minimum of 10 games.

I trust Gettleman to find the right guy for us next year. Until then, just picture this season like a murder mystery- how will they figure out how to lose this one? Or this one?

Jim Harbaugh stepped into the 49ers franchise with virtually the same roster as the year before. He managed to get to the playoffs, win the division, and make Alex Smith look like a solid NFL QB. Find the right guy and we could have the same results IMO.

The close losses reflect the coaching. The fact we're even in the games with this coaching staff reflects the talent we have. Talent gets us there, coaching is pulling us back.

it's been pretty clear that talent's not the primary factor unless you propose we've just overachieved for the past two years. if you can go toe-to-toe with the league's best week after week after week then it's pretty clear there's something else at play.

Talent is not the issue.  Not going for the kill and choking out an opponent when the opportunity presents itself is the issue.

I would say weak fragile links play a big part. Byron Bell getting embarrassed. Captain and Norman allowing all kinds of completions...DeAngelo being old...
