Not sure if your response was directed at me or not ... but if it was, there is absolutely no debate over who is the better coach.

there's a few reasons

1) that season was the last time i loved being a panthers fan until the Arizona Game (shudder)

2) i didn't like fox and that is the last coach i hated beating the coach we have now at his own game

3) i really hate Rivera... why did we hire him?

4) what happened to that Jake?  (Arizona shudder shudder shudder)

Guys, this is coaching 101. Even if you don't make the first down, the Bills still have to score a TD to win. Basically, kicking the FG did not improve the teams chances of winning in regulation. Most high school coaches go for it right there. A field goal can't beat you; a td can beat you either way; but a first down wins the game out right. Made no damn sense, at all.

Something else to consider is that once Buffalo would get into field goal range, they would likely have gone a bit conservative.  Not Panthers conservative, like running a fullback up the gut, but conservative because they wouldn't want to sacrifice tying the game.  Instead, we dropped trou and dropped a fudge dragon in the living room.

Fair enough. Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Fox >Rivera.

I've held my judgement of this staff for much too long it seems. I did not want to believe that we could be sabotaged by such blatant vaginary. You could literally see the massive 2 ton labia fall out of Riveras pants before that 3rd and 5. I hate to admit when I'm wrong but at this point it can't be anything other than poor game management.

The offense looks forced, awkward and unnatural. The defense while improved, seems to be handcuffed as soon as its time to step up. The ST is the only unit that has gotten better all around.

This team has everything it needs to win except the people in charge to make it happen. This staff has to go. Now.

Rivera is a bad HC end of story 3 years of the same poo, i don't fault the 3rd down call but 1 yard wins the game with Cam Newton under center you go for it, simple as that.

1. first down wins the game or a TD

2.Secondary was depleted beyond

3.You have a horrendous record in close games

4. The D line didn't get any pressure on ej the whole game, the solo sack came from a safety blitz by mikel

but yet it's the same Rivera the only fool who thinks Byron Bell is a starting caliber Tackle and the same fool who states we don't need any o line help......smfh Williams set a record on us today because of stupidity like this. How do you not adjust or have a Te or Fb chip Mario the rest of the game after he has 3 sacks in the first half.......get Rivera out of here asap!!!!

Kind of what I'm saying, but basically what I'm saying it's a matter of possible outcomes. Miss the FG and there are three possible outcomes: A)win by 3 points, B)OT or C) lose if Bills score a TD. Make the FG: A)win by six points or B)lose by one point. So, based on possible outcomes, even if you missed the field goal you still have a 66 percent chance of not losing the game in regulation. If you make the FG, there are two possible outcomes with a 50 percent chance of winning based upon possible outcomes. 66 > 50 percent, based upon available outcomes. Yes, making a FG is much easier than scoring a TD and that factors in, but you can't think about it that way since by kicking the FG there is no option for the Bills to tie the game in regulation.  In essence, while he negated the chances of taking the game to OT, he greatly improved the Bills chances of scoring a TD, which is the only way Panthers could lose the game in regulation.

Nevermind, that just going for it and making it ends the game.
