Cam has to feel trapped on a terrible football team

i absolutely do not understand people who say that it "couldn't be worse".

hell yes it could be worse.  most of the people on this board have seen it be worse.  anybody who honestly believes that deserves jimmy clausen.

Could Clausen throw picks into triple coverage?

Could Clausen get sacked 5 times and never throw the ball away to avoid?

Could Clausen overthrow receivers by 5 yards on 30 yd passes?

Could Clausen not read the "read" option?

If you don't have a reason to be on a high horse, don't climb up there, Cam is stinking it up.  It was a huge chance to have drafted him when there was so little passing for any team to review with Cam.  Running, yes, plenty of tape, but it was a faith move to hope he could develop into a pocket passer.

Some are losing faith

I don't throw poo that I buy out the window...that is what is retarded...

Well if you know it was stolen you would.

BTW, this is why folks bring up the racial aspect of things. Many white kids do more dumb ish then what Cam did but it clear's when it comes to black kids, many of you white folks are more than happy to attach your own kids bad behavor unto that kid then act all selfrighteous. But when your kid does it, "it's no big deal."

Peyton was an Ass-hole in college. It is more than well documented but I don't see anyone making much out of it or trying to associate his current mindset with his behavior in college. But with Cam, he's a thief, without proof; he's a "thug;" he's stupid, based on what? Him doing what any other teen knowing he had a hot lap-top would do?

Question is, why are we even talking about this ish anyway? Things keep being made clearer and clearer why this kid has so much negative energy around him. Way to much of you are to close to his past and don't want to leave it there. Still bitter that he helped Auburn?

And here is another reality check for those who keep wanting to push the notion that Cam is issue...Judging by the stats of Colin, Russel, and even the Bills QB, cam played better than both Russel and Colin and equal to the Bills QB, so what is your point?

this post is making my eyes bleed.

first of all, unless you disagree with me when i posit that things could absolutely be worse, then you have no business replying.  if thinking that somebody posted something that's demonstrably false constitutes "being on a high horse" then you should direct this shitpost of yours to everybody on this forum rather than just me.

but i'll humor you.  as for jimmy, if he had put up cam's game on sunday, it would be far and away his best game as a pro.  like not even close.  jimmy is a known quantity-he sucks, he's not on an NFL team, it's just a fact that he was overdrafted and hurney made a mistake selecting him, etc.  these are basic things that are generally accepted as true and can be backed up easily with facts and the burden of proof is 100% on you if you disagree.

as for losing faith, that's fine.  i'm losing faith too, but not in any one particular player more than the coaching staff.  it's amazing to me that, three years after the endless nightmare that was the 2010 season, so many people are taking it for granted that we have a quarterback now whose floor is just average/below average on his absolute worst day.  that we could roll any dipshit out there (as you wanted to do in late 2012 with your obnoxious "start derek because the games don't matter" shitposting spree) and he'd be at least as good as cam.  stupid as hell, and that was my point.

e: clausen threw 9 picks to 3 TDs in his only significant time as a starter.  he has no problem turning the ball over to address (what i suppose was) your point.

please. you've been called out for racial profiling and are backtracking more than carolina-chuck when he's proven wrong. there's no crutch here. just you and your racial stereotypes.

Oh and you've been called out for being unable to be anything other than a idiot who can not  live with out self righteous speak.

My favorite players are mostly black and I can name many (Davis, Smitty and others) who are highly intelligent, but Cam just happens to be dumber than a rock and slow witted.

lol at you all pinning this loss on Cam, typical.

people blaming everyone but the most important player is even more typical.  The defense gave the offense the ball TWICE in a row INSIDE THE 30 YARD LINE AND WE ONLY SCORED FG'S.  Ginn should have had 3 or 4 tds yesterday and Lafell was open on that play that would have ended the game.

Please come up with ONE example where Cam has been clutch, just one.

You guys are underestimating the effect of Shula as OC. He is terrible. He was terrible on the college level, and yet he is somehow going to up his game against NFL DCs? Newton belongs in a spread offense. Newton would thrive with a coach like Chip Kelly. Alas, he is stuck with Rivera and Shula.

Cam wasn't given a chance to be clutch genius, I'm sorry, but it was Cam's call to run the ball with Tolbert coming up short one yard?

i would say a good throw to Lafell would have been clutch.

But it proves my point, you can't come up with one clutch example at the end of a game in Cam's career.  No one can.

totally false, the offense has run some very nice stuff.  execution is terribly lacking.

Cam was clutch in the Jaguars game. He also was clutch in the Saints game last year, clutch in the Falcons game last year too. Stop doing drugs.

he has had 7 4th quarter combacks to go ahead or tie. Vikings game his rookie year the kicker missed. Stop it. He has been clutch as hell.

He drove down the field this last game killed 6 minutes on the clock than in a 3rd in 5 shula calls a run. Takes the ball out of his hands. Then on 4th and 1 choose to kick a field goal when Cam has converted 16 of 18 in his career. You put the ball in your best players hands.

This coaching staff has been atrocious.
